Most fair teacher. Straight forward. Covers everything you need to know for quizzes/exams in her lectures. If you put the work in you should be able to do good. No surprises.

If you pay attention and actually complete the homework, you'll be fine. If you don't study for quizzes, you're screwed. She posts her lectures online so it's okay if you miss a class! She assigns quizzes almost everyday, but they're aren't so bad if you study. Don't buy the textbook, she doesn't use it. She responds really quickly to emails!

Edna is by far the worst professor I have experienced so far. She is very rude to her students and her assistant and always seems to give off a "superior than you" vibe whenever you attempt to get clarification. You have to solve every question her way and will get 0 for the right answer if it is not EXACTLY the same. Taking math in the summer.

Awful professor. She is a terrible professor who doesn't know how to teach, and is sexist. If you take her class, you either work way more than you should have to just to match her strict guidelines, or fail. Or you could work hard and still fail. I can not imagine a worse professor.

Very unclear in marking scheme. Unfair in grading and takes "class participation notes" that significantly lower the student's average despite being copied word for word. Does not stick to their own syllabus. Does not reply to emails or requests for help. I would not take this class again, and would have waited for another teacher to be available

Her grading system is not adequate! She's not lenient, and she gives zero a person makes a single scribble.

I had Edna for Calulus part 1 & part 2, everybody complains a lot about her, but I managed to do well in her class by completing all assignments, and studying for the tests and final using and practicing the tests she had posted on the CMS. I finished with a 91% in part 1 and an 89% in part 2.

First time I've failed a course in my entire life since kindergarden. Collects the notes you take from every lecture and grades them, will deduct marks if the notes aren't taken EXACTLY how she has then written on the board. 100% worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. Awful lectures, impossible assignments and extremely hard tests. DROP OUT

Goes off on massive tangents about nothing. Often gets confused and thrown off by basic questions from students. Tons of homework. Exams and mid terms pull out the weirdest questions and problems that didn't have much time spent on them in class.

Edna is a decent professor. She is a very nice and funny woman, her lectures are very clear but she is an extremely slow teacher. She tries to make sure her students understand all the material so the course schedule and the actual course tend to be different. She also talked little about the theory, when she did many propositions were unproven.

Very difficult subject but tries very hard to make it understandable. Can be difficult to know what she expects from you on tests at times. She clearly enjoys the subject and is very approachable. Don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it, she is very knowledgeable & helpful one-on-one. Take thorough notes and review them often.

Had her for several classes over the years and she has always been incredibly helpful when I have questions. She took time out of her schedule to catch me up on classes I had missed due to an emergency surgery. Only complaint is i wish she covered all of the required material for the course rather than only half of it

Garbage teacher. has no idea what shes teaching and multiple other professors want her to be fired as well. she at one point threw a stapler at a student but was not fired because it did not hit him. she has been at algoma for over 5 years so the likeliness of her being fired is minimal.

Till now, I don't believe this high school like institution is qualified as a university. One of the reasons is Prof. James; frankly, she is worst instructor I ever had. MATH 1036 is the first course I failed in 20 yrs: you will be passed her course if she likes you, vice-versa. Moreover, She can't tell you what is wrong and what is right in math.
