Comment:

Although this is a mandatory class, Professor Ridzi makes it bearable. There were some times when it was difficult to sit through the class, as it was two and a half hours and there are two presentations required which was stressful. He grades a lot on participation and lots of the test questions come straight from the textbook and his powerpoints.

Grades are based on participation, final paper and presentation, group presentation (short), and 3 exams. Participate in class, you'll get cheat sheets for the first two exams, which is nice. The final was hard for me, and it's a lot of work for an intro level class because so much material is covered, and it's hard to pay attention in a 3hr class.

Professor Ridzi is a great guy. Only problem with the class is there's so much information needing to be taught so it is very rushed. Definitely would recommend him.

Dr. Ridzi is my favorite teacher I've had this semester. He makes his class very fun and interesting. Tests are very easy, he allows you to bring "cheat sheet". One group project, a short presentation, and a 4-5 page paper due at the end of the semester. Made my 3 hour class very enjoyable.

Dr. Ridzi is a fine Professor. Very committed to his profession and teaching. One drawback, an enormous amount of work for one semester. Content of course material rushed. Labs seem to be the focus. Dividing the semester between the two would allow greater focus and greater understanding. Common complaint from my peers as well.

Very clear and helpfull, but almost too passionate with his intro classes. He acts like an overqualified 8th grade teacher. I am entertaining another course with him, assuming he will act a bit more seriously with upperclassmen.

This man should be the chair of the sociology department. He is really passionate. he gives easy tests if you come to class and pay attention, everything is on the hard drive in powerpoint slides to review and he gives you a study sheet, marriage and families and social welfare were really fun, he is open minded and great.

He is the nicet guy you could ever have as a teacher. His classes are mostly discussion, and participation is big. His tests are easy, and if you ask for a "Study" sheet, you can bring one to the mid-term/final. Final paper isnt too bad, no more that 5 or 6 pages. Very helpful if you need anything. Everyone should take a class with him!

Ridzi is very funny and a good guy. Class is enjoyable, he always has a funny story to tell. He is always prepared for class and makes sure everyone is on the same page. He is very big on attendence, and participation.
