I personally Hate history class, and now i Hate it even more. He grades how he feels. I have complained different times to him about the grading and he hasn't given me any reason to justify or to explain himself. All his exams comes straight from the homework, the homework is simple if you stay on top of it. And he doesn't hear very well, talk loud

Dr. B is a very nice guy. He's very knowledgeable and sometimes one might have difficulty understanding his words exactly but he is very patient and helpful. Attendance isnt mandatory and if you do your HW questions you will ace the midterm and final. His questions come DIRECTLY from the Hw. Hes an easy guy to talk to so I highly recommend him

he only gives two random essay questions. that's bad because it decreases the chance of students getting high grades. he doesn't give a variety of questions that students can answer, and he should. students already have pressure studying for other classes. i like history but he made it somewhat hard and boring for no reason. i would give him C-.

Aw man this guy is helarious, all of his classes are the same; he give you his oultline, his exams come directly from his homework. If you want to get a good grade just do the homeworks, his grading is easy and allows for make ups. Nice guy.

OK...he is a FAIR grader...he is boring because all he does is talk talk talk...if you want to pass his class you MUST read the textbook, and if u want to do well on his exams, you must do his homeworks..overall, very boring but a fair grader..easy A if you READ READ READ.

He's a nice man. His grading is fair, your just have to read and do your reports like you are supposed to. Tests are easy, that is if you did your homework. The only reason his classes are boring is because no one ever participates! And because he has a hearing problem people take it upon themselves to be rude and mean.

Well, I had Bergholz as a substitute professor for about a month. I HATED HISTORY 100 BECAUSE OF HIM, he makes the class unbearable and I wouldn't reccommend him to ANYONE. The amount of BOREDOM you have to endure is ridiculous. It came to a point where I had stopped attending class until the professor who was supposed to teach the class returned.

OveralI I do not recommend this professor. I can't remember a class where he didn't make me fall asleep. He just talks the whole time and it's pretty much straight from the textbook. I came to hate the subject and I swore to myself never to take another history class again. He can't hear a thing and its very difficult to understand what he says.

This professor is hella BORING. You dont even really need to attend his class unless its a test day or the day you have to hand in your book report. As long as you read the 3 books assigned in the class your good. I was absent PLENTY of times and still got an A because I read the books and did the book reports. It's a guaranteed A.

took the class and loved it. many peeps say fred is boring but that's b/c u guys are not into history. this guy knows asian history (chinese, japs, vitenam, etc) off the top of his head. dates, names of emperors, everything. the man is a freaking genius. you have to respect that. he's just a bit eccentric.

BORING!!! he spits when he talks so don't answer or ask anything. since he's hard of hearing he gets extremly close to you.bring hw for another class becuase you will fall asleep. exams are essay questions and not easy. his grading is horrible, no chance for an easy grade unless you're into history.
