Comment:
This is a composition class and therefore is heavy on writing and reading. However, Professor Mitsis gives very clear instructions, and provided all the reading assignments so that a textbook was not needed. The gadeing criteria was very clear and concise. If you do the work as instructed there is no way to fail.

It is not exactly "an easy A", but his rubric is as clear as day. His class is based on points - not percentages- do the assignments on time (quizzes, discussion posts, essays) and you will be golden. Replies within 2-3 days. Provides additional resources to your benefit. Would definitely take him again. He also provides the textbook so don' buy it

Professor Mitsis was easily accessable throughout the semester, and a fair grader. I have taken many online courses before, but this had the easiest access and layout. I had no trouble finding things and did not have to endlessly search for them. Although the course has a lot of work, it is spaced out and not overwhelming!

Dr. Mitsis was great! I had him for Comp 2 in class. In the middle of the semester, all classes had to switch to online due to the coronavirus. With the way he set up the course, it was a smooth transition. If you're taking him in class, work and get ahead. There are lots of discussion posts with a clear rubric. It's hard to get it done in class.

I wouldn't recommend this teacher if you are looking for feed back on your grade or active communication he basically ignored an email I sent. He knit picks discussion posts and will give a c for restating the answer in your question to meet the word requirement on a very vague prompt that only takes 2 sentences to answer. readings not to exciting.

I took Professor Mitsis for an online Greek Mythology course - super creative curriculum. He makes learning very fun.

I actually really enjoyed this class this summer. The only reason I would classify as a lot of reading and a lot of papers is because it is a short summer class so he has to cram- but I believe it's pretty reasonable. The essays are only two pages double-spaced so if you can't do that then I don't know what to say. Just DO THE WORK and get an A.

Took his class online currently very work heavy, but not hard. I feel he doesn't throughly read your work and gives you the broad comments to other students as feed back. Generally a very easy class to understand. You don't need the text book because he provides all the short stories and plays on his online class, so that will save you $100

It is 100% online work. You get to class and sit at a computer. Mainly individual work like reading passages or watching plays and then taking online quizzes on them. SUPER EASY "A". You do not need the book since it is all online and easy to find. Few group projects that are easy. Lets anyone leave class early.

He gives a lot of readings, but you can skim over them really quickly or have them in front of you while you take the quizzes. DO NOT BUY ANY OF THE BOOKS. You can find them all online for free with a quick google search.

This is literally the worst college experience I've ever had. He is so awful I want to cry. Gives out C's for everything. Even A work. Emailing back and forth is like talking to an automated service-no answers. Basically if I knew the hell I was signing myself up for I would have waited another semester to take this class with a different professor

He absolutely overloads you with repetitive, page long, response papers, due the night before almost every class meeting. He doesn't really teach anything, he just assigns you these response papers and sits at his desk doing nothing. He seems lazy, and doesn't seem to care about you. He offers no sympathy to students, despite his own laziness. BAD

This guy is weird and his class is horribly boring. Even when you're done he'll make you sit and stare at the ceiling until the end of class because he doesn't take attendance until the very end. He's not that nice or friendly but it is an easy A. No textbook either.

Great teacher. Some may say not easy and others may say they were not motivated to read his assignments. Well, hate to say this but get motivated. It's college, your future. The work isn't easy, but it is most definitely not hard, I can guarantee you that. Do the work and you'll do great :)

Take Mitsis for 1101 if you want an easy A, all you have to do is show up for class with an individual response to an article or story he gives you. It takes like 30 minutes to do once you get the hang of it. All you do in class is the group responses. There are 3 essays, make sure you write a lot and citations are correct.

Literally don't take this guy online unless you want to have no life when it comes to his work. The work is the same stuff every week but just for a different short story. It's so terrible and repetitive. One assignment we had to do came out to like 7,000 words and nearly 20 pages. I usually just read the stuff on here and never post, but I had to

Took comp 2 class, haven't done any assignments to practice writing. We've only read stories and done analyses on the characters. It's the same assignment every week and I haven't learned anything pertaining to the course. I wouldn't take this if you want a real composition class.

Very easy course and lenient professor, however I didn't learn anything useful. There were a few essays and 18 response papers that were graded and a huge portion of your grade relies on the group response papers. Sometimes I didn't feel the motivation to actually show up to class. Take it if you want a free "A".

You will be stuck writing and writing and writing and writing but most f the time you don't need to be there and as long as you do the essays you can pass the class.

Comp II with Dr. Mitsis was definitely a class I was never concerned about; the work is done pretty much entirely in class, except some minor reading which I ususally did 20 minutes before class. It is the same exact format for the questions and reflection for every single story and while it may be repetitive, it's an easy class.
