He was one of my favorite professors I ever had. This course is lecture heavy however it isn't boring. We had the chance to give our opinions on countless political arguments. He gives out extra credit and truly care for his students.

Was not a fan of this class at first. Seemed like a lot of work , but if you pace, it's not overwhelming. Though this was online class, he held zooms for reviews before exams. The notes were a lot sometimes but very thorough. Just gotta put the effort and you will pass.

This class was really great! It was divided into four sections with soft deadlines so that you could work at your own pace. Participation really matters in this class since he grades on it. Throughout the entire semester, he only assigned us four tests and four PowerPoint presentations. Overall, I had a great experience!

It is the end of the semester, i still dont have a grade so i am not sure how i am going to do in this class. The least he couldve done was put some grades in so i know how to change my work to do better. He is lecture heavy but is not testing out of the material he "teaches" you.

Dr. Rogers is a very caring professor that challenges his students to think critically. I really enjoyed this class and got a lot out of it. This class is also divided into four phases, which I really liked. The final phase - Supreme Court simulation - was my personal fave.

Course is divided into 4 phases w/info for discussions, exams and powerpoint assignments. The deadlines he put were not "hard deadlines", just guides to keep us on track so we could basically go at our own pace. Do NOT get too far behind/wait til the last minute or else you will be left rushing to catch up at the end of the course. Very nice class

He's one of the better professors I've had at SAC. He's more than fair. He gives you the choice to take a multiple choice test for each section or write an essay. For people complaining about essays, this is college-learn. His lectures are interesting and you can tell he cares. Participation matters a lot in this class, so showing up is not enough.

Major projects - we did a mock supreme court case which you HAVE to prepare for. Took this in Sum I 5 week class. He is interesting and passionate about politics. Tests are easy to study for and gives option of mult choice or essay. two papers that were about 2 pages each. Not hard but participation is a must to get a good grade.

Professor was pretty good. I'm completely bad at this subject but he put in the effort to give me a good grade. I took his course online, there was a total of four phases one had to be a four page essay and the others were multiple choice exams. there is a lot of reading and writing for his class so be prepared.

Dr. Rogers is a great professor. There are 2 exams(both are your choice of MC or essay and if you score low then you can take the other), there are 8 topic essays, and my class did a supreme court simulation. He is very knowledgeable and we discussed a lot of hot button issues which made coming to class very interesting! I also never used the book

Professor Rogers makes this class fun, I was hesitant to take this Gov't class in the beginning but was worth it. Class participation is a must but you can't help not jump into debate in class. Fun learning environment

Love him, I didn't get a good grade. Although, I feel I would've if I wasnt always so rushed and distracted with my new born. His lectures are current and interesting. Make sure to study hard for his exams! Other than that participate and get your stuff turned in on time and you should be good. loved this class.

Dr. Rogers is a great professor. I wish he taught a humanities class just so I could take him again. He has three exams and a final. Each exam an be either MC or essay (4-6pgs), but one MUST be a essay to complete the class. He is very knowledgeable about government and international matters. Many extra credit opportunities.

Great professor, He truly knows his stuff. He has slides and stuff, but he doesn't teach from them, it's straight from his head. Class is pretty easy, you just have a pay attention and participate and get an easy A.

You have the opportunity to pick an essay or multiple choice for exams. He is an honest guy that cares about what he does. Cares about students and will work with you. Overall simple class, just take notes. Very willing to help you on essays. Enjoyed his class because he makes it simple to understand concepts. Get ready to do a simulation/debate.

Professor Rogers' class is so interesting. I loved coming to his class everyday and was definitely inspired by him. He gives you tons of choices, and as a student, that's a wonderful dynamic. Ex. He lets you choose to write essays and/or take multiple choice exams to get higher scores. That's pretty much unheard of. Take him, you won't regret it.

I would not recommend him if you are not ready to write Essays. I tried to ask him for help on more than one occasion. But each time I asked him for help he made me feel dumb. He also said I did not have to buy Textbook, when he said straight out to us that it was Mandatory. As I said, if you can't write an Essay, you will not pass his class.

It's a simulation class so expect group work. Probably very helpful if you have a decent grasp on politics. I do so it was alright for me
