Here's the thing, she is a tough grader, HOWEVER, if you view her examples and follow the same format, you will be fine. English professors should critique and make you write better. Was this class hard? Yes. Did I get frustrated? Yes. Did I get an A? YES! Don't believe the hype. Apply yourself and you will do well.

You will never get an A in this class. You might think you're a good writer, but she will make sure you don't believe that anymore by the end of the semester. Truly, a very difficult writing class.

Professor Haber is a very tough grader and its almost impossible to get a good grade in her class. She is also unclear in her feedback so you dont really know you did wrong. She is pretty good at teaching and is a nice person, but I wouldnt recommend because she makes it so hard to pass her class.

Comment:

Her videos did help me to learn. I did have a difficult time at the beginning of the semester in my life, not to mention we are in a pandemic. This professor did not care, and was extremely unprofessional, abrupt and unhelpful when I practically begged for help on assignments for weeks. Study hard for the small quizzes, do not miss anything.

Dr. Haber was a tough teacher to get passed. However, I was able to get a B at the end so it wasn't all that bad. Sometimes her comments were kind of sarcastic on your papers which I didn't like. I think the assignments were easy and self-explanatory. She grades harshly and there are a lot of papers. The big final is a feasibility report, not bad.

This was my first course I have ever taken in college and I personally haven't been in any type of school for over 15 years. She expected me to know a great many things without teaching me and seemed put off by having to explain things. She discouraged me so much I had to withdraw from her class. I found her to be rude and not caring at all.

Professor Haber is the worst professor I have ever come across. At the end of the semester I came across an issue with some assignments. I was very kind and willing to work with her. However she was EXTREMELY unhelpful, non-communicative and downright RUDE and belitting towards her students! I advise to stay far far away from her!

This class should not intimidate you. It covers very important skills that you will need throughout your program. I recommend taking this course with Dr. Haber early in your program. It will benefit you on every writing assignment. Dr. Haber grades according to the rubric. If you score poorly on one assignment then you will learn for the next.

Haber isn't the best professor. I was straight up tired of receiving B's from her. I legit stopped trying and wrote like an idiot in her technical writing class and received A's. towards the end. I think she just gives random grades tbh. I'd spend several hours or days on an assignment and received a B and then get A's on an assignment done in 1hr

Professor Haber is a good teacher. She is easy to access. I took her Technical Writing class online. There are no exams but she is a tough grader. I missed one assignment and dropped me to a C. But overall she is a great professor

Dr. Habers class isnt the easiest, but its not super difficult. If you follow the rubric and guidelines, youll be fine. She seems to like when students are creative. She says that examples are to be used as a guid. Shes always willing to help outside of class. She gives clear and informative feedback. Overall, shes a great professor.

I love her! She was a great professor and I would definitely take her again if I get the chance. She has great communication skills and lets you work ahead in her class if you want to. Her instructions and course were very clear and easy to follow. 10/10, would take again!

I took this class online and it was a big mistake. Her assignments are not weighted properly. Each paper I wrote was based on her examples and she gave me terrible grades on them. I was an A student until this class. I barley got a 70% at the end. I would not recommend this professor to anyone.

One of the lower-end professors I've had. Her class is actually structured very professionally, which includes a solid volume of work. The downfall is her lack of feedback and constructiveness. She's not the worst, but if you have the opportunity, shoot for a more well-rounded and developed teacher.

I had Professor Haber for a Humanities class last semester and took her creative writing class this semester. She gives great feedback, posts grades quickly . There is a lot of writing in this class, but if you're taking the class, you probably like to write anyway. Her instructions are clear. I would take anything she teaches.

If UR taking this course in 8wk like I did, beware that she crams the 16wk class into 8. Work is due 2X a wk on Sun & Thur. Always respond to at least 2 classmates on the DB. Don't wait until the last min to do work. She has some where U have to pick a diff author or story than UR classmate. if you duplicate, ZERO. other than that, great class.

Haber has four papers, they aren't distributed evenly. My first paper was due a month after classes started and so was my second. The next papers were due every two weeks, with a final paper due in 3 days. I was two hours late posting a discussion and she didn't give me any credit. I had a 544/610 in the class when you need a 549/610 for a 90.
