Comment:

I'll be honest: I do not like history to begin with, but this class was awful. I tried to follow his lectures at first, and received failing grades on 4 quizzes (everyday, by the way). The only way I got my grade up was by reading the chapter a minimum of 3 times, and ignoring his lectures. I taught myself everything, and he was no help at all.

Comment:

I came into this class with a pretty negative attitude. I hated how he droned on during lectures and that we had a quiz every time we met, but as time went on I realized he really knew what he was talking about. He might portray lecturing in a boring way, but he is very intelligent and the class is worth it if you work hard and do your part.

Comment:

Be prepared to do A LOT of reading in between class meeting times. Don't be even 1min late otherwise you'll be scrutinized in front of the whole class. Students aren't allowed to communicate during class AT ALL without him calling you out. He knows his stuff but makes it the least exciting as possible. Very difficult to follow along because of it.

Very slow monotone lectures. makes it difficult to want to pay attention. You read two chapters a week roughly fifty pages, quiz at then beginning of class, and then spend the following three hours hearing the lecture over what you already read and quizzed over.

The teacher knows what he is talking about, he knows his history but it is difficult for me to understand and remember who did what or where they went. He uses the map often and says that you should know your geography for the class. wants you to be in class always and does not like you to be late. honestly, this class bored and not interesting.

This was definitely a challenging class. He's very boring, and his lectures doesn't go along with the book. He has 5 question quizzes every class so if you miss 2, you automatically get a D. And his questions have to do with the little details in each chapter. He wants you to read every chapter, that is your only homework and he gives 4 major exams

He's very intelligent and definitely knows what he's talking about. The only grades you will have in this class are quizzes (which are every single day) and four exams. So this class is hard but you definitely learn. I took it as a challenge and fortunately passed the class.

I am so happy this class is over!!! Most boring thing in my life. His nose was the most interesting part of this class. You have to read the entire book! Quizes every single day! The quizes suck so bad their so hard. So boring. The test are okay as long as you record all the questions on the quizes and their right answers. So much geography!

His class is an easy A if you take notes , read the book , and know ALL your presidents . He is very boring and doesn't have a discussion just ask students questions about what he's already taught . Attendance is a big factor he's likes you to be there on time .

This class makes it tempting to bring a pillow to school. Seriously, this class is not for those who like good class discussion/involvement or any energy in the room! pop quizzes with nitpicking details, tests weren't too difficult. Goes off on tangents with details no one cares about and will belittle students in front of the class.

This was the most boring class I have ever taken. His voice is monotone and though he clearly has a passion for history he has no energy when trying to convey it to the class. You will probably fall asleep at some point. However, it was a very easy A.

boring lect., constant criticism of textbook author, constant political innuendos, thought i was in an ENGLISH class rather than HISTORY. His tests were not bad,if you to pay attention,take notes. This was a US HISTORY class, but brought up GREECE alot. Make sure your grammar is impeccable and know MLA and works cited he will accuse u of plagarism.

Very boring, Somewhat blunt and rude, if you don't show up he blows up your email inbox, and if you dont check it he badgers you in class about it. the first week or 2 we already had a essay due which we had to read in front of the whole class, i felt like i was in English not history. he knows his stuff but I would NOT recommend his class!

I don't understand all the hate for this teacher. I'll admit at first he seemed so boring and monotonous I was tempted to drop the class, but you do get used to it and now I actually think he's one of the best professors I've had. Requires studying but it's college so what do you expect?

Comment:

Boring lectures. He knows a lot about he subject, but it's just hard to follow along because he presents it in a boring way. Quizzes on random days, one of which he drops. ATTENDANCE is a must and if you can overcome the boredom then you should pass. Just be prepared to study a lot and know your presidents that you talk about in the chapters.
