Kat was so far one of the best teachers I've taken at OCC. She really cares for you and she wants to see her students be successful. She's enjoying to talk too. Just literally ask her anything or start a small conversation with her, you will be amazed what you will learn from her. She has a lot of interpersonal skills. I will deeply miss her class!

This class was so interesting!!! Kat was funny and the class was an easy pass but not boring! Do your homework and participate and you will get an A! The tests are pass/no pass but as long as you listen to the lectures you can definitely pass! Dont miss class or tests are harder

Before you leave OCC, you need to take a class with Kat Carroll. I have taken her Men and women's communication and her non verbals and boy have those classes changed my life. She's a goddess. Take her.

Kat is one of the wisest an most compassionate instructors at OCC. Her class changed my life, and she is definitely one of the professors you should take at OCC in order to say that you got the most out of your experience. A word of warning; her homework is easy, but it can sneak up on ya! The class is an easy A, as long as you stay on top of it.

Amazing, kind- hearted Professor. Got so much out of her class. Easy homework, tests, and interesting lectures every class. I never missed a day because I learned something new every time!! Take her, You won't regret it. She makes you feel so comfortable talking in front of the class and sets a very non judgmental enviornment.

AMAZING!!! She really cares about her students, in fact many people see her during office hours to vent to her and she really does help you out. Participating is obviously a must since this is a Comm class. Barely any homework, and the tests are too easy. TAKE HER!! This class will positively change your outlook on life and so will she.

Kat is seriously SO amazing. She is an incredible person and professor and really cares about her students. 10000% would take her again. Participation is a big part of her class, but even if youre shy as long as youre trying she will appreciate the effort.

Kat Carroll probably saved my life. She gave me hope when I thought i had none left, but one of the main reasons I give her so much praise is because she made me love school again. Anyone can attest to her upbeat personality and one of a kind laugh. I am so thankful to have met her and been apart of her classes. She will always be remembered!

Hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had, going to try to take another class with her this semester. Super caring, gives great talks, as long as you talk in class, go to class, and do the homework you'll be fine. She also makes it so fun you don't even want to miss class. Love you Kat!!!

She has so many interesting stories to tell. My project was to try to help me overcome my shyness and by the end I felt far more confident than I was at the beginning of the semester. For me the class difficulty was speaking up in class. If you are a "shybaby" I highly suggest taking this class because she truly cares about your improvement.

Kat made me realize that I chose the right major (Comms). She radiates kindness and genuineness and you can't help but want to bask in it every lecture. Her grading is very straightforward but it really comes down to participating. I wish I could keep Kat in my life forever so she can keep teaching me amazing and useful life lessons.

Kat Carroll is the most wonderful human you will ever encounter. She makes her students involved in whichever class (I managed to take her other classes which I strongly recommend you all do). You'll open up in ways you'll never expect. If I had to live my life over again, I'd definitely repeat every course I took with her.

Kat is a real gem, she's one of the best professors on campus. She cares about her students, and is willing to help them. Pay attention in class and take notes, anything she writes on the board will be on her exams. Show up to class, and participation makes up a big portion of the grade

Would recommend Kat to everyone! In my 3 years at occ hands down the best teacher i have ever had, shes passionate about what she teaches and takes time to get to know every single one of her students! Speaking up/participation matters greatly though , if you dont speak up you wont get an A, but she makes it a comfortable environment.

She was one of my favorite teachers. Took her for nonverbal communication. If you show up and do the one big assignment you will get an A. All the tests are pass or fail. Pretty easy class and she makes the class a lot of fun. She is very easy to talk to if needed.

Prof. Carroll knows her subject, and she is passionate about it; this comes through in her lectures. She is very kind and enthusiastic, and non-judgemental- but expect to participate in this class and the discussions; no hiding in the corner for this one.
