Comment:

Professor Ratner is a great teacher. I have had him for multiple classes now, and I have nothing but great things to say. He is available outside of class to meet/do a zoom call, and he is always there for you if you need some extra help on a certain topic. I highly recommend taking any of his classes if you can.

Prof Ratner is definitely very passionate about his field and helping students learn. Attendance wasn't required but if you didn't show up you would be pretty lost on some of the more obscure parts of the software used. Overall the class was fairly easy as he answered any questions on the spot and walked you through most functions needed for the hw

I enjoyed taking his class. If you do the reading, and take notes in class, you should be fine. Small assignments/quizzes that count towards your grade, but they're easy. Made geography interesting and is caring.

Very passionate about the class but his lectures were really long (2 1/2hr class w/ a 5 min break) and the assignments were long with many parts. Went on a field trip towards the end of the semester and if you don't go (w/ good reason) he gives you an alternative assignment which involves doing much more work than those that went. Do not recommend

A very cute professor who never sit still for long and sometimes eating his carrot sticks in classXD He is nice and doesn't really mind if you pass things in late. Highly recommend taking him for all the GPH classes!

Very animated. If you need clarification, he's more than willing to break things down for you. Do the labs the best you can, pass them in in a timely manner, and you'll get a good grade. He gives out a study guide so you'll know what to study for upcoming exams. Don't bother buying the book since his lectures are powerpoints.

I am taking Professor Ratner's geography of the U.S and Canada this semester and can honestly say I love going to his class. He is funny and has been everything it seems. It's nice having a teacher that actually has personal experience with the places he is teaching about. A good amount of writing and class participation is a must!

If you are a serious student of Geography, Keith is the professor for you. He is very knowledgable, always upbeat, and a great all-around human being. He became somewhat of a mentor for me as I balanced work, school, and life. He is always willing to take the time to see you and discuss academic matters as well as personal issues. Keith Rocks!!
