So sad he retired. Best teacher ever at Hartnell. Makes math fun and easy ( easier). His life lessons were equal to his math lessons. Cares so much about his students. Hope he comes back.

Comment:

Took him Fall2014 and he changed my whole perspective of math. His lectures were easy to understand, and he gives a lot of homework. If you don't do the homework, don't expect a good grade on your exams. What you put in is what you get! Overall, great experience and hilarious professor. Would take him again!!!

He's the best teacher i have taken for math in general, i didnt even have a teacher like him in high school. i enjoy the class and he made it fun. There was no day where i didnt want to show up. hands up for Ken Rand!!!!!! He actually cares about students education and becoming someone in life!!

Hes a great teacher. He really takes the time to make sure that everyone understands the material. Theres no textbook learning, all homework and test are on things he has gone over in class. He also offers extra credit on tests for just asking questions. If you do the hw and show up to class you can get a B grade easily.

Mr. Rand is the most caring teacher that I've had in my whole high school and college years. I found his class very enjoyable and you learn many things even about life. Easy class but he does not only want you to pass his class but to learn what he teach you and do not forget. Enjoy!

Mr. Rand is a great instructor. He treats you like a high school class but he wants the best for his students. During the end of the course, he offers a study group and the final is so easy. I got 96% and I did not practice that much. Great teacher.

Mr.Rand is a great instructor!Before going into his class i had low expectations for myself since Math was my worst subject in highschool. I got an A and a 98% on the final! This teacher clearly shows he cares.When you take a quiz and fail he'll make a note "see me after class" to make sure you're on the right direction! Mr.Rand is AWSOME!

Mr. Rand is THE BEST math teacher EVER. He isn't arrogant, he just knows he's the best! I hated math but when I took it with him it was like the heavens had opened up and I could finally see what was going on. You have to do all of the homework and show up to every class- it is math after all. I swear you will learn something in this math class!!!

One of the greatest math teachers I've ever had. I'm pretty good at math but my understanding for it has gotten a lot better after taking his class. I recommend taking his class for those who have trouble with math because he will make your understanding for math a lot better and you'll be a math wiz! haha

He is definantly the best teacher at Hartnell. We need more like him. I recomend him 110.5%. Take him!!!
