Fall '95, Honors Seminar, my very first college class twenty years after HS (yeah, nontraditional). He thought I was lost! Key phrase, "contrast and compare." Our time together was challenging/well-spent. Loved writing those papers that were due EVERY Friday morning. Positive correlation between attendance and grades! Not a "cattle" class.

Valuable - most students have no idea how helpful someone like Professor Wolf can be or how important the difficult classes are when you get into the world. We need thousands like him. Murray is a top notch school.

Assignments long/tedious, the most time consuming class, critiques on homework are vague/unhelpful, even one-to-one council terrible, grading varies as he finds "new/interesting ideas" when he reads papers, grades are inconsistant. Tries to be cute, questions not clear. Content massive but interesting. My worst class ever, avoid at all costs >:(

Let me just take a moment and say that you can't go wrong with Dr. Wolf. The class can be a bit challenging, but if you learn to compare/contrast well early on you'll have no problem. I really enjoyed Dr. Wolf, even though he didn't always share my thought on things in class. He was very helpful in/out and I would HIGHLY recommend taking him.

Wolf is a very good teacher. I didn't know what to expect coming in. He made the class very interesting. He wanted to hear our thoughts; every class we discussed everything. He has a very good sense of humor. He is very willing to help outside of class. Very good class. I haven't had him for a history class though. I am interested. Good teacher.

The class was very helpful. My writing ability improved as did finding the thesis of a book and the author's supporting items in defense of that thesis. Dr. Wolf is very helpful in and out of class. Don't be afraid to ask him questions.

This was my elective. Somewhat interesting. However I am not a history major and struggled to get through all of the work. He was very nice and understanding and I got a "B". Ii would retake the class.

Teacher expectations of students is overwhelming. Workload was hard but grading was fair unless you tell him his book was wrong. In which case you get a C. But lectures weren't too bad.

Is a fun teacher but the class can be a real burden. Each week you have a quiz that will require you to read a few hours worth of material. Multiple papers are due throughout the semester and it sometimes isn't quite clear what your writing about.
