At first she looked intimidating but as the semester progressed, she warmed up. She's passionate about psychology and shares some personal experiences. She loves participation! PowerPoints are posted online. I had this class Tuesdays, once a week. About 4 exams, 1 research paper. Study, study, study!!!

Prof. Fisher is really great. She came off a little intimidating the first class, but she will really open up to you. Shares personal experiences she is hilarious. Great class. Really straight forward post all powerpoint online. Attendance is mandatory but you get 3 days to miss class. I think we had 4 exams and and 1 research paper that she WONT except (I did it in 2 days and got a 90) she is really great fun and helpful. I had her once a week on tuesday nighties we one stayed in class the whole night once

Great teacher! Very nice- uses key terms at the end of each chapter. I used my book ALOT! Attendance is mandatory, she does take attendance! Tests are straight forward, as long as you study what you go over.

Ms. Fisher is funny and gets straight to the point.Great lecturer and engages though whole class. Human development was super easy with her, she gives you the key terms after each chapter she lectures and pretty much everything that is on the test is what she gives you as the key terms. Take this class with her!!!

TAKE HER PLEASE TAKE HER for Human Development. She is a great professor and very helpful. She is very nice, sincere and FUNNY! She makes a night class so much more enjoyable. The tests were easy just study powerpoints and scheme the chapters.

Such an awesome professor! Five 50 multiple choice question tests (including the final). Final not cumulative. One 3 page paper on topic of your choice. She gives you the words or topics you need to know for the test after each chapter lecture. You can miss 2 classes but go because she hardly ever keeps you the whole time. Sign in sheet attendance.

Cool professor. Not hard at all. 5 tests and she gives out a study guide to each one that pretty much is the answers to the tests. 1 research paper which is not hard. Try and take with someone you know so you can study together...TAKE HER!!

Very chill teacher. Gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit, so DON'T pass them up. Quite humorous. Tests are in a sense right out of the book, so you have to read it (notes are from the book too, but notes won't be enough). Five tests, one paper on any psych topic (i.e. anorexia, ADD/ADHD, etc). Enjoyed the class for the most part.

I am honestly not interested in psychology at all...i took it as a gen ed and it turns out it doesnt even count....but i am happy i took this class because of prof fisher. She is very funny and entertaining and teaches the class well. Plus shes really good looking...hence why i went to the class TAKE!

If you want an easy class, go for it. You can either a) take notes in class or b) read the textbook because they are essentially the same; paying attention to both is a waste of time. Easy class, but I got so little out of it (from the book OR the lecture). She's nice and helpful, but she's also really boring and goes completely by the book.

Comment:

Easy class, if you need an A, but Lora Fisher is just not very intelligent. Correct spelling and good grammar are beyond her capabilities. Use the book to learn, not her. Watch out for bad assumptions like "the first psychotic break tends to happen by sopohomore year,so you guys are safe!" Disrespectful toward elderly (in geriatric/aging section).
