Marian Aanerud is absolutely horrible. She has the most obnoxious laugh and doesn't teach anything. Her test questions are not worded clearly whatsoever, and her tests make up the majority of your grade. Even if you study the unit for days and days, you will still be confused on the test.

I have had her twice... this time much more enjoyable/tolerable. Sometimes seems likes she wants you to get off topic. If you are interested in things she is interested in its fun. She gets really in depth when she likes something. Overall it wasn't bad. Easy A if you come to class ONTIME (daily quizzes) and study moderately.

She is the worst teacher that I have had my whole life. She doesn't teach at all. She marks down as much as she can when she grades. In addition she taught evolution terribly wrong. She bashed a certain religion and religious leader which is so wrong on so many levels. She has been known to be a bad teacher, students dread to take her class.

She was a energetic and nice teacher. I don't think she is as bad as everyone is saying! The class is not hard if you just put in the effort. I think she is funny and laughs a lot! You basically teach yourself the material because its a inquiry class ... The exams are only over what you do in class. Just do the work!

Going into this class, I was not too excited about my lab at all, especially after reading some of the ratings here. But, my mind quickly changed. She explains things and answers questions WHEN ASKED, and she's easy to get along with. Just don't act like an idiot, and ask questions if you need to, it'll help you for the quiz.

This class was AWFUL. What sucks is she's the only one who teaches it and it's required for my program. She is no help, takes forever to grade things, and cares more about socializing with students than teaching them. It was very hard to force myself to attend class each week.

She is very disorganized, her questions are extremely unclear, she's too social; a yes or no question shouldn't take five minutes to answer and overexplain, there's no clear direction, and we had no idea what our actual learning objectives are for the class. Unfortunately she is the only teacher who teaches this subject, so try to find help.

Reading over past comments, nothing much has changed. I earned my A but despised this class because of the prof. VERY unprofessional and downright wierd. Instead of telling the classclowns to knockitoff she loved the attention. Painfully rambles for Q&A's -students learned to NOT ask. HARD tests & grader. Good news -redos allowed & extra credit!

I'm pretty puzzled by the previous comments. This class is not easy by any means but she is clear about what she expects on assignments and gives study guides for tests. She is willing to help during class and after. There s also plenty of opportunity for extra credit.

This class was such a joke and I am very angry that I wasted my time and money on her. She is extremely unprofessional and totally disorganized. We asked her once why, if it was a science INQUIRY class why we were learning only physics and she said because that's what she likes. How wrong! We're here to learn not freak out!!

Professor basically taught this as a Physics course and assumed that the student knew everything about Physics. I had no prior Science course and was completely lost. Her grading was easy however, but that is the only plus side to taking the course. Not many in my class cared for her and the assignments are LENGTHY and HARD.
