Absolutely heinous. Horrible teacher. Very unclear on directions. Her class has no structure. She often surprises the class with a due assignment that she never told us about. Class is easy but very frustrating to figure out what she wants and when she wants it. Very inconsistent. Horrible horrible professor. She needs to retire.

Comment:

Professor Harris's English class was a breeze.. I took it in 2011, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Had some in-class discussions, several writings assignments, and a quiz or two. The material wasn't challenging and she did not enforce deadlines. People could turn in papers basically until the last day of class. Easy, easy, easy class!

I don't get why everyone is complaining about her not teaching the material to bits.She doesn't have to do that, you're not in prep school, guys. I like her and IMO her jokes are fun. She explains all the necessary stuff and grades fairly. Great instructor.

Avoid her! She is not a good teacher. She is really nice, but she barely does anything in class worth being in there for, and you always end up with so much to do. This was by far the worst class of my semester.

By far my favorite professor. She gets straight to the point and doesn't waste time. She's very lenient on her due dates if your schedule is rough. She also has a great personality and i enjoy going to the class. Make sure you keep up with your journal and write decent papers and you will do very well.

This woman is awesome. She cuts the crap and gives you the assignment and then lets you leave. We were never in class for more than 30 minutes and due dates didn't really exist. Super lenient and super helpful.

BEST. PROFESSOR. EVER! She doesn't care about die dates, and she's super easy on grading. She always let my 11:30 class out at 12 so we could go eat lunch before our next class at 12:30. You're allowed to skip 9 classes before you fail the class. Taker her if you want an easy A!

I really like Mrs. Harris, but she can be a little scatterbrain sometimes. However, she makes her assignment fun, dressing up a potato and writing a story about it, was a lot of fun. You usually get out of her class like 25 minutes early! She grades fair, just make sure you pay attention to what she is asking!

Harris is a very accomodating professor. She allows her students to complete the required coursework in a manner that suits them. She's very knowledgeable on the subject and she's got a great sense of humor to boot. For those planning to take 328, the book is about $95, but the material inside is no joke. You won't want to sell it back.

I took Eng 101 and 102 with Harris. Gives you two drafts of every paper before final with predicted grade on each. She doesn't care if you turn things in late as long as you turn things in. SCHEDULE AT THE END OF YOUR DAY because you almost always get out early!! And you RARELY use the textbook- not even worth buying esp the "Keys for Writers."

I loved this class. She is pretty easy but we still do work. She gives you assignments that can help raise your grade if you don't do well on papers. She also gives several times in which you revise papers before the final draft. She grades those so you kinda know what you will get on your final draft. I loved her wacky sense of humor!
