He is a very knowledgeable professor with over 40 yrs of experience. You learn/practice the sports, and he makes sure you do it well. You teach one lesson, which he helps a little if needed. You taken 3 written exams based on the sports you learn in class, which are not long. There are opportunities to be able to do extra credit if you want.

If you're in the Phys Ed field, this guy and this class are going to help you get there. You need this class. It teaches you about sports and how to actually teach them. And prof hipscher will show it to you HIS WAY which is the best. He's very passionate about this field and tries his hardest to get everyone involved and love it the way he does.

The BEST TEACHER AND MENTOR I have ever had. I was a Masters Pe major and now am getting my PhD thanks to this man. He is so passionate and cares for his students and is very energetic. Sorry to hear he is retiring, so many students are gonna miss out on his amazing attitude and sense of humor. Hip, you are what I want to be!!!
