I've never had a problem understanding him and he is very good at explaining topics. Encourages students to ask questions. I just wish the class wasn't at 8 in the morning.

He was OK. Hard to understand at times. Taught too much stuff at the end of the term that wasn't going to be covered on the final rather than reviewing for the final.

powerpoint slides were more confusing than the book, his accent made lectures impossible to understand, and I had to teach myself everything relating to databases that was useful to me.

Comment:
Teaches most of the SQL standard rather than the parts some DB vendor chose to implement. Expects students to participate more than they actually do. Always helpful. Easy to understand, but the wording in a few assignments and lectures is confusing.

Teaches and demands knowledge of topics that can't be used with any database implementation currently existing. Asks if class understands and assumes that 30 seconds of silence means 'yes'.

He can't seem to comprehend that the class cannot understand him. In addition to his accent, his voice trails off to a whisper for important points. Teaches topics in one way, but the homework problems are completely different.

The class wasn't very hard, what's very hard is understanding him. Lectures make little sense (and his horrible accent doesn't help), and he has very bad handwriting when he writes on the board. HW assignments and projects also tough to decipher.
