Cares 300% more than any student or professor should, and that means you won't have fun in her boring, useless, only-taken-because-it-was-a-requirement classes. You will read a lot of outdated text in a short amount of time, write a lot to exacting standards, and don't expect to sit back and relax. And there is a right and wrong opinion to have.

She has an interesting sense of humor that is hard to pick up on at first, but by the end of the semester you'll be laughing at her corny jokes. She also wears the best hats for special occasions!

She is awesome. Don't expect to slack off in her class, though, because she is definitely a tough grader. I took this class as a night class and she would keep us the entire time every class. A couple of times she would let us all walk to the AMU and get snacksice cream (which she would buy for us!!). I loved her. She was extremely helpful.

I took this class as a night class, it was three hours long every Wednesday night. But, somehow she seemed to keep it entertaining and livable. She genuinely cares about her students' grades and will do whatever she can to help your writing. I would definitely take a class with her again, and recommend her!

I love Dr. D! She is extremely funny and fun to listen to. Class is always a discussion and you can feel free to talk and share your opinion. Be prepared to work a lot, especially in a Lit class, but it's worth it for the fun you'll have.

I really liked this class. By nature it was small and we were able to convince her to let us write a romance novel as a class instead of a second paper. Required journal questions (for all of her higher leve English classes) to be turned in everyday. I liked her a lot.

Don't let her "scare" you. At first, it may seem intimidating with all of her rules, but she will help you do well through conferences. She says that "nothing is personal" and she's right. Dr. Diederich is a very good prof!
