Amazing ! Havent taken a math class in 5 years and Nicole made it possible to be successful ! Amazing teaching style and very caring. There is quite a bit on homework but its necessary to tru force material.

Comment:

Nicole is the most caring professor I have ever had in the years I have been at Foothill, which is pretty hard because all the professors are caring. She explains everything thoroughly and makes sure you understand the math concepts she is teaching before moving on. She's very accessible and will go out of her way to help you in anything you need.

Hands down best math teacher I have ever had in my life. She truly cares about her students. She does everything she can to help you pass her class. She is very clear with her expectations.I highly recommend you show up to class and show that you are giving the class your best shot. She is very understanding that math isn't for everyone. 10/10

Great math teacher. This was the first math course that was transferable for me and she really made it easy to understand. She was also very caring towards her students, which I really appreciated. Overall, I would give her a 4.5/5

Comment:

Math is not my subject. But she is able to empathize and care about students lives and struggles with math. She teaches from the bottom up, even the most simple of concepts. Shes easygoing and helpful. There is hw almost everyday but they are short and they help you for fri quizzes. She always prepares you for test as well. Very organized.

Mrs. Gray was a great teacher. She cared about her students, I saw that first hand when telling her about my learning disibility. The only down side is that she give a lot and I mean a lot of homework so make sure you're on top of it and you should be fine. Class was boring sometimes but very helpful. She's lenient towards her students. Overall 4/5

I have always had troubles with math, but it was the greatest experience ever that I took a class with her. This professor is one of a kind, you learn even if you don't want to. Her attitude and passion about the subject is beyond amazing!! do ur self a favour and take her!!

Wouldn't recommend this teacher for those of you who like to work at a faster pace. She will make you feel like you really just don't know anything. You HAVE to do the work the way she wants you to or she will take off points for the smallest things. If you forget a negative sign in the problem yet the answer is correct she will take off points.

Comment:

Nicole is a wonderful teacher. She is not a "white board" teacher at all, the majority of learning comes from the In class activities. She's a sweet lady and really has the best interest for her students at heart. Take her. She will teach you a whole new perspective of math. I hated math, it's taken me 2 years to get through it. Now I love math.

daily inclass and preclass worksheets for online videos. during class, not much of a lecture, just do the worksheet in groups.weekly quizzes, exams not too bad. do webassign hw. those help a lot. do practice exams. not my style, I would rather have someone teach it too me because i dont think i grsped all concepts thoroughly

3 weeks into the class and I am dreading it. I dont mind watching the lecture videos, but she doesnt teach in her class. she gives us worksheets which dont help me learn that much.would rather that someone lecture so that I don't get bored and feel like this class is a waste of time. worksheets dont revise the topics well enough to fully understand

Comment:

Nicole is sweet, helpful, and really wants her students to do well. She expects that you are very clear (i.e. always showing work). No extra credit as per most math, but helps reduce anxiety by dropping several low scores. You can do test corrections for some points back which helps immensely and you can get points back for late homework as well.

Nicole is an easy A teacher for math. Her assignments and tests/quizzes aren't so hard and she did a big curve at the end of the quarter. She doesn't exactly "teach" a lot though. She has us watch lectures on youtube and come to class to ask questions and do classwork. She can be very helpful though at times and she knows the subject.

She is wonderful her test are not that hard. She is willing to help always, but I do feel that she doesn't explain stuff very well and she goes extremely fast. Other than that she is absolutely wonderful.

Comment:

Nicole makes it very easy to understand the material and is very helpful. Homework is very light but is assigned almost every night. The class consists of 3 midterms and a final. The majority of your grade is based on these tests and even if you don't do well she allows you to do corrections to boost it.Highly recommend her, you wont regret it.

Comment:

Nicole is a great teacher. She is very nice and relates to her students. If you do not understand something, just ask and she will explain it until you do. Homework is assigned everynight, but it helps you understand the topic better and goes by very fast (I spend less than 30 min each night on her hw). Homework is also through course compass.
