lectures are impossible to sit through! He trails off, is unclear. It seems like none of his lectures actually have a point, but because there's no text book, you have to attend. Don't taker this class.

Horrible. Very unclear & unfair marker. He has no marking criteria.. Do not take this class. Even though it seems like an easy GPA booster, his marking will make you wish you never took it.

Grading criteria for assignments and exams very unclear. You watch a movie and answer questions for the exams, but the questions were very subjective. Long lectures, which are often unorganized. He'll start a sentence and trail off, or say "I don't know where I was going with this." Gives unclear responses when you email for help. Decent movies.

Unclear and offensive. Not a good proff. His questions are poorly worded. Luckily his marking is fair.

I would highly recommend this class to anyone interested in mental illnesspsych or looking for a GPA booster, easy class, just do well on the assignments and quizzes. However, criteria is not clear for how he grades and his lectures are boring and way too long for a 3 hour time slot which he uses up.

The 106 I took was moviesmental illness (they're all different).Great prof. VERY easy class, midterm and final are the exact same and involve watching a movie and commenting on it. Responds quickly to emails and as a psychologist has lots of good stories!!

Lectures are long and filled with stories that don't really go anywhere. Tests and assignments are super easy, but I've seen several yes or no questions spawn their own mini lectures. Definitely a good class if you want easy marks, but are willing to suffer 3 hours of boredom

His questions on the exams were very broad and i wasnt sure on what kind of answers he was looking for since most of the questions were based on opinion. I don't think I'm learning about psychology in this class. He was quite nice but his lectures are boring.

He doesn't clarify on anything. You have no idea on what the course is even based on and without the textbook your totally lost. Is this even psychology? The course has no aim.

Very unclear expectations; online participation worth 20% but based only on two sets of questions to be done in groups, but then only one group member was allowed to respond; quite snarky answering questions; unclear marking scheme for assignments. Overall, avoid if you can help it! Definitely don't take the online version if he's teaching it.

He is full of experienced in clinical side. The course might have sounds easy (1mt, 1 present, no finals), but he is a super hard marker. I participate every class and he gave me 7/10 for participation. His questions for mt and take home final sounds easy, but he is super picky. Avoid him!

Avoid him. Take this when G. Gutman is teaching it. He is arrogant and makes you feel bad about taking his time asking questions. He's an excellent researcher who knows his stuff but is impatient if you need help. Worst experience of my university career.

This was the worst research methods course I have ever taken. If you want a great reserach methods course try one taught by Chris Atchison. O'Rourke was unclear about how our participation grades were marked and a full 50% of the class lost participation marks. This course was simply a money grab by the university. Moreover, he grades on the curve.

He gives out participation marks based on whether he likes you or not, and not whether or not you have actually participated meaningfully to class discussions. Some of the best participators got poor participation marks, simply because this guy doesn't like their opinions!!!!!!!

If this course is a hot dog, then Dr. Rouke is the sauce on the sausage. He is good, helpful, amazing, and very smart. He adds good flavor to the course, and makes everyone feel better.

He is very professional and does a great job teaching, and he is tolerant of other people's opinions. He is NOT like some other psychology professors who like to flirt with female students...he is respectful and proper.
