She was such an inspirational professor. She made the texts we read so interesting and exciting. But then again, she'd make the telephone directory interesting. All I ever wanted to know after any of Prof. Berggren's classes (and I took 4 of them) was to go to the library and read, read, read. I will never forget her. She made Baruch great. A+

We study the most difficult literature works of the world and the biographies of acclaimed literati. She makes everyone learn a lot. It's a true pleasure to be in her class. TOUGH grader with high standards to comply to. But you will come out of this class, enriched intellectually. If that's not your aim, then forget her, forget college altogether.

Hands down my favorite professor at Baruch. I was only semi interested in the subject matter before taking her class, but after three of her courses I became completely hooked. Six years after graduating and even though I work in an analytical field, I go through books at the rate of one every two weeks. Prof Berggren made me love reading.

She is seriously one of the best teachers I've ever had. She really isn't as hard a grader as everyone says; just show her you're working hard and interested. She is so nice and understanding, and managed to teach a lot in the 5 week summer class.

Such a wonderful professor! She is so nice and helpfull. She is a hard grader but she will help you. She deffinitely teaches well and even though classes can get really long and boring, she is the teacher to take! I really like her and suggest to everyone!

Want a better grade on your essay? Go to her office and ask her how to rewrite it to get an A! She encourages rewrites and office appointments. I think that the reason she can be "tough" on grades is because she wants you to improve by rewriting under her guidance. Overall, she is an excellent lecturer. She's also patient and understanding.

Professor Berggren is really nice, knowledgeable in her subject, and patient with her students. Her assignments are straightforward- you don't have to guess what she wants from you. Also, she is NOT CRAZY, i.e. erratic, moody, delusional... basically, you have it pretty good if you have her as your professor.
