Comment:
This class was very hands-on. Every week we had a different science activity according to the topic that we were learning about. He really knows a lot about science and is very helpful. However, he criticizes too much and in front of the whole class at times. We had to do an activity log after every class. He is very picky with papers at times.

For this class we had to do a unit plan of science that includes 3 different lesson plans. 1 science plan group presentation. Reflections due every week according to class readings. Also, reflections due for your 25 hours of field work. One science autobiography due. Get ready to hear him give you feedback about your presentation in front of class.

Bring snacks to keep you awake. He is very thorough with explaining certain things, but at times it's a little much. He can be boring and has the tendency to go off on a tangent and 30 minutes later you're sitting listening to the same story. Pretty easy, straightforward class though.

I did learn more science in his class than any science class I had in my life. He makes learning science interesting and fun. Hes a joker and understanding. Just do weekly activity logs, which are not hard at all and you will get a good grade. NO MIDTERM, One PAPER, and TAKE HOME FINAL!!

Best professor at BC. I learned more about science in his class in one semester than many years in school. Class will never be dull and you will learn to make ice cream

Science is probably my worst subject so I wanted a class where you would get credit for the assignments you do at home, not in class. This class fit my bill, as 55% of his class are class reflections, 10% biography, and 10% computer assignment. 25% is the final which was pretty hard, but if you study you can get an A-. He is a very pleasant guy too

Leide is the cutest man to walk the planet. His classes are fun and he actually teaches you science. I enjoyed going home and writing the lab reports and really, truly, honestly learned a lot about science. it's amazing how many misconceptions one can have. I recommend Leide, Susan and Nedra- they make a great team!

interesting lessons...the work is childs' play. take all his work for what it is, don't try to dissect it for more than what it is.

I was disappointed in how disorganized he was regarding our syllabus-he really should have dropped some work based on scheduling problems. Too much work for 2 cr. too many tangents and stories... nice and otherwise reasonable.

really grreat professor, should be a role model for others in the department,he is an experienced middle school teacher so he can tell you what is really out there, instead of spewing the educrats' theories of the week
