Comment:
Persnickety about grading, he will take an unreasonable amount of points off for things like not naming files down to the exact case. The class is extremely easy whether you know how to code or not. Don't try on HW as he will deduct points for no reason. Tests are very easy. In total, kinda a waste of 3 credits.

- Neat approach at modeling: explores different fields beyond computer science - Difficult tests and quizzes that are hard to study for - Homework assignment descriptions were sometimes vague - Almost all homework assignments are team projects - Encourages participation in class

Comment:
For ITEC102, Professor Byrant wanted all homework and projects in a very specific order with very specific formatting, which discouraged creativity in what was supposed to be free flowing work. Outside of the actual assignments, Professor Byrant is very knowledgeable in the field of computer science, and clearly loves what he does.

This is a very interesting class about technology and it's uses all around us. It is specifically for non-computer majors and his grading reflects that. I enjoyed the class so much that I am going to minor in computer science. The professor's lectures are always engaging and he has notes online, so you don't need to read the book.

I absolutely loved this class. Algorithmic Art was my favorite class the semester I took it and Professor Bryant is very willing to help. He makes the class fun and you learn quite a bit!

Bryant is a decent professor. Got put into his class randomly, probably wouldn't have taken him if I had the choice. Class is ok, leaning toward the boring side. The book was boring, but coding was interesting. Wouldn't recommend it, but not the worst class to be put into

Professor is extremely helpful and will to better explain things to student who don't understand typical methods. Great class and lots of fun. 2 exams and a final, all of which are very easy if you study the guides provided and complete homework/assignments.

I really enjoyed the class! I had no idea why I was put in the class but turned out to be my most interesting class. He is very clear about what he wants, and if you need help he is always available. The class is pretty easy and there are no surprises because he always tells you what he expects.

Maybe it's because I have no interest in Digital Technology, but I always dreaded going to Bryant's class. He talks about really pointless and boring things a lot of the time and it's mainly a lecture class. I wouldn't take this unless you're REALLY interested in computers and random facts about them.

Good programming teacher. Definitely knows a lot about the subject, but he won't give it to you straight up. He will expect you to do the work/programming. He's always willing to help if you have questions. I would take him again given the opportunity.

I thought that the teacher was incredibly helpful as long as you keep on top of communicating with him via e-mail. Not accessible office hours. Very nice and cares if his students do well but doesn't hand out good grades. Very nice guy.

This was the first ITEC course GU offered. Bryant was a great pick for teaching this class. He has over 20 years of experience in this field. This is just a basic history and computer class. Bryant teaches well and doesn't demand a whole lot from you in this class. Good class and prof for people looking for a better basic knowledge of computers.

Grades very easily. Cares about his students and doesn't expect them to know how to do all of the work. He is definitely the easiest of the computer science teachers. Minimum of 1 hour reviewing every 2 weeks is enough to do very well in his class. Take it & you'll be happy with your choice.

Class is pretty tough, as long as you pay attention and go see him when you need help no reason why you should get less than a "C". When you visit him he basically does it for you, he makes it that clear.

This professor puts together an extremely difficult class. He will have no problem failing the entire class if he has to. There is no curve, and the average grade on his test is usually a D. If you already have knowledge of programming you probably can make it, but he goes through incredilby fast by most people's standards. TAKE ANY OTHER TEACHER!!

Good Prof who is passionate about what he teaches. If u copy paste your program from someone else u will fail the tests. If you work hard and go in to see him, the class is an easy B and an A is not out of reach. I came in with zero interest or knowledge and it is now my favorite class. Take if u want to learn not if u want a slacker class.

Good Prof who is passionate about what he teaches. Don't take if you plan on cheating on the programs because you will dramatically fail the tests. If you work hard and go in to see him and understand the programs you write, the class is an easy B and an A is not out of reach. Take if you want to learn and understand not if you want an easy A.
