Comment:

Dr Roberg has to be one of the best professors in the JS dept. Unlike 202, his class was well structured with clear instructions. He was strict and highly professional. He also provided helpful advices during office hours and cared about students' academic well-being. Overall, his class was more useful and meaningful than 201 and 202.

I guess I can understand why some may find him intimidating...but honestly, he is one of the most caring professors you'll find around. He doesn't come off that way but visit him during his office hours and talk to him one on one. He expects a lot of from his students and c'mon..if you do the work..there is no way you can flunk!!

Let's students know exactly what he expects out of them. Seems very intimidating at first, but the class goes pretty smoothly, he gives weeks off for final paper. I did hate how huge portions of reading assignments were pointless, but you know what to expect. Fair grader, participate, show-up and you'll do fine.

He's difficult, but you get a lot out of his class. He is a fair grader and very knowledgable. He may seem intimidating at first, but visit him during office hours, hes extremely nice and helpful. He wants his students to exceed!!

This class was very interesting and informative. Dr. Roberg is a fair grader and always willing to help students who struggled with the final research paper. The class itself was tough, but I learned a lot so it was worth it.

for some reason he has a chip on his shoulder about the police even though he used to be one. boring lecturer, loves to talk about himself and the books he has written, horrible grader, gets spit build-up in the corners of his mouth, the least bit helpful. its all bad.

Dr. Roberg expects a lot from his students, but given that this is a senior seminar class it is hardly a surprise. He is one of the most intelligent and kind professors in the justice studies department. And I highly recommend his class even though it is extremely hard. If you want to learn then this is the class for you.

As is mentioned above, he grades based on a midterm and a final - nothing else. If you are the kind of student who does better on an essay test than you do not want to take his class. I won't even get into the fact that he makes students feel like idiots.

He is very difficult; don't take this class if you're trying to boost your GPA. I had to study 24/7 for three weeks straight just to pass his final. No essays, or quizzes - just 2 hard, long tests. What he calls "extra credit" is his grading curve. He really tries to indoctrinate the class w/ his extreme leftist beliefs w/o thinking about other pp

A VERY hard teacher! He has a know-it-all type of attitude, and seems like he wants his students to fail. His lectures are hard to follow, and his tests are extremely hard. If you do bad on the midterm, but great on the final, he will boost your grade. But trust me, you will not do great on either, good luck.

EXTREMELY arrogant, so be careful about the questions you ask in class lest you face public embarrassment. Didn't fancy his dry class much and there were no writing assignments in it, only 2 painfully archaic, reproduced exams. You will do well if you are good at memorization and filling in scantrons.

the worst teacher in life. he's always reading out of something and he's been a cop for 20 years, this guys is real mean and aggressive. your grade is based on two days of testing. the one midterm and the one final. this professor is a trip, take that from me.

He is a great guy. He just doesn't like people who don't work hard. He is approachable as long as you know what you are talking about. All in allhe is excellent and can help better a person academically.
