I loved Prof Longo. She makes class very interesting. Shes rather chill and wont call you out. Really pushed forward our discussions though. Tough grader when you dont think she will be. Takes forever to grade things.

Comment:

Professor Longo is wonderful! Very knowledgeable and very easy to talk to. Go to her office hours if you ever get a chance because you will have a great conversation with her I promise. As for the class, mostly short (1-2 page) papers and a few short speeches, reading plays, and in-class discussion is muy importante.

Comment:

Taught w/ Tandeciarz. Cares passionately about her topic. Lectures were good, but her faults lie in discussion. It was impossible to tell when she was prompting the class to talk, because she wouldn't modulate her voice. And I understand this is an intro class but the questions were too easy. Also grading sometimes felt unfair or unclear.

prfoessor Longo is one of the best professors I've had so far. She's so sweet and helpful! Due dates are flexible and she's willing to put in time to help you. Course material isn't all that exciting but she tries so hard to get you interested in it

This lady is absolutely great as a teacher. She is very clear, and she gives assignments that challenge you but do not unnecessarily kill you. She is well versed in what she teaches, and I have honestly never had a teacher who was so willing to help. She is really nice, and you will enjoy her class.

She is a really good lecturer and extremely clear about topics and expectations. If you have a problem, just talk to her, and she will help you. I have never had a professor who was so willing to talk to students like they were actually human beings. She may be a gringo...but she is a smart one!

Just not a good teacher. First off she's a gringo, secondly she only cares about "cultural products" and that sort of nonsense. Only take her if you're a HISP studies major who can stomach that sort of thing. Not understanding in rescheduling or accommodating special circumstances either. Terrible. Take if you want to be disgusted with department.

Great teacher! The reading is absolutely ridiculous, but is worth it. Her classes are all very well-organized, and she definately expects you to work at a high intellectual level. Hard class, a lot of work, but so great at the same time.

Prof. Longo is working at a high intellectual level. I am a lit buff but NOT a poetry fan, but she really opened my eyes to why it matters. She wants a LONG well argued paper-- start early.

She is a wonderful teacher, and nice; explains things clearly when you are having trouble understanding, which happens a lot because you read a lot of hard material. Papers tend to be started in class. She gives everything a neat global perspective.
