He is very knowledgeable and this class is interesting!! We write 12 essays, EASY... time consuming but easy. There is an online component to it and you have to participate. He takes attendance but honestly he doesnt care but you should be there because he is a great source!

Seriously, easiest class ever if you like/can write halfway decent essays, and can post online discussions. Don't leave it until the last minute. Nice, tells okay jokes, attendance is taken and is mandatory. You look at pictures on the projector for most of the class. Easy Gen Ed overall.

Very funny guy that does care about his students, especially if you approach him. Although there are no tests, or quizzes you do write 12 essays that are about 2 pages each throughout the semester (4 per Module) and you do 7 discussion posts (per module)it gets to be very stressful and overbearing. Don't take this class if you hate writing essays.

Thought that no tests was going to be a good thing but now I don't know. He is a REALLY nice guy and very helpful and he makes little jokes in class which are actually quite amusing. You can tell he really likes what he teaches which is nice. He is a pretty hard grader so make sure to put in a lot of effort in the essays and do the discussion forum

Very easy class. No tests, quizes, or homework. You just need the book to write the short essays. He grades very fairly. We were allowed 4 absences before it affected our grade.

Pullybank is awesome. There's no tests, just 12 short essays, so no need to memorize everything in the textbook. He's a fair grader and makes funny comments in class. I would take another class with him in a heartbeat. He'll drop everything to help you out on your essays, and gives you the primary sources you need.

Good professor. Hard to follow at times. But really you dont need to pay attention in class if you have the book, just makes it easier if you do. No tests or quizes. Just have to write 12 short 2 pg double spaced papers throughout the entire course. Easier than it sounds. Just make sure they are good quality.

EASY CLASS. No tests, quizes, or papers. There are 3 modules and you write 4-5 essays per module (400-800 words each). Easy grader. He gives you like 8 essay questions that you must apply to each module but you only write essays on 4-5 of your choice.Gives you the documents/artwork/music you need. 4-5 essays sounds like a lot but I did them in 2 hr

Incredibly hard for a 100 level class, tests are memorizing info about 8 things out of the 100+ you have to memorize, papers have stupid topics, and adds irrelevant info to class that you think you have to know, but don't. Also prof. has a dry sense of humor and you cant tell if hes joking sometimes, but is overall funny person, not a good prof.

human textbook. crazyyy memorization. he can spit dates, ppl, facts out of his mouth like no one else. just he grades a little too harshly. you can't do good on the essays. and the tests are pretty unbearable. its impossible to memorize 100+ pieces of art, their date, civilization, and importance. and then only 8 appear on the test.

The man is out of his element. He compared a counting crows song to the 15th century Italian Renaissance and that it summed up everything we had learned. Also used Walk like an Egyptian to explain the Nile River. He is the definition of shot

LOVED HIM LOVED HIM LOVED HIM! His class is a little boring because there are no power points, BUT pay attention and the class is great. Don't zone out because the stuff you learn is interesting and he sneaks in tons of jokes. The class rests on 3 tests which consist of 6 qestions The tests are unconventional but once you get used to it REALLY EASY

The class really borders on history and art history - all document based lectures and tests. Final is non-cumulative and the online questions for each chapter aren't bad. 2 papers are also due, which consist of 7 questions that you chose just 4 to answer. Very much suggest him if you dislike learning history in the traditional way.

I took Western Civ. with him and enjoyed it a lot. He has a unique way of teaching that helped me learn more than previous years of history classes. He uses documents and a lot of visuals to keep it interesting. He is very nice and enjoys what he does. Tests do require studying!
