Mr. Liu has really really really strong accent but his story about history and unique perspective are just dope. Easy get A and you would never ever ever ever ever regret to take his class. One of my fav pro in my life.

There were a lot of times where the lectures didn't correspond to the essays given (which is the only graded work that he gives. No tests at all.) However, he grades his essays extremely easy so as long as you have google you'll get an A on the work.

Professor Liu made me actually really enjoy his class. I kind of read: really hate history, I have a hard time with dates and I have a hard time recalling information but he made it easy and when I asked questions, he answered them and told me they were good questions. He only gives like 3 papers a semester, nothing crazy. An A/B is really easy!

What a strange man. Extremely knowledgeable and gives some unique perspectives being of Eastern heritage. I'd very much like to take more classes with him! If you take the class, show up. It's not an unpleasant class. Don't waste everybody's time and money by skipping. You can learn a great deal in his class if you want to.

This is the second class I have taken with Dr. Lui. He is very funny, but be prepared for his accent, he is not tough to understand, it is just a little shock at first. He only gives papers as assignments, usually three in a semester, and is an easy grader. Going to his class is like attending story time of history. He gives an amazing perspective.

Mr. Liu is interesting to say the least, but in a good way! He's funny, a little hard to understand with his Chinese accent, but I was able to completely follow along in all of the classes. Only had like 3 papers the whole semester, and they weren't that hard to write. Not a bad class at all!

Honestly must say that this prof. is awesome! I had a good time in his class he made me think, with out having to have me read a thousand chapters and papers. If you take notes, and pay attention you will pass with a great grade. all you have to do is attend and listen, he is pretty lean back and very nice. loved his class i might take another one.

Awesome professor with immense knowledge of the course. He is very understanding to student issue although comes off a bit gruff at times. The only two issues I had is that his Papers are a little broad and hard to write for and at very few times he can be slightly hard to comprehend because of his accent. Overall, best professor I've had.

Great professor, tenured, and once you take his classes you will see why. If you do the work you get an A. Take his class if you need any foundation III courses. he teaches his 197 pre 1500, his 296 from 1945 on, and an advance 300 level chinese his course. His world view is unique and very different DONT MISS OUT on a great professor.

Dr Liu was helpful throughout the semester. If you get a B in this class, its because of a complete lack of effort. If you do the work and show up, your pretty much guaranteed an A. He was helpful whenever I met with him, and was always friendy! Good professor.

Liu is a history book. You will get used to the Chinese accent, although it is a bit interesting at the beginning. He gets the years of events messed up sometimes by maybe 2 years, but no big deal. The assignments require a lot of time (at least for me) and you can't just go to Wiki and copy stuff down. Easy grading if you put forth the effort
