he is probably the best Professor at Hampshire. He is very smart and clear and has e most interesting and engaging classes. He is very understanding towards his students and always willing to help. I strongly recommend to take a class with him

Comment:

Aaron is the best professor at Hampshire! He is extremely clear and concise with his lectures but also talks about things that are amazingly interesting! He will do anything to help you, and he knows what it's like at Hampshire because he went to school there! I wish he wasn't going on sabbatical this year.

Comment:

Aaron is one of the best instructors I've had in 3 years of college. He genuinely cares about his students' well being, academic and otherwise. If you demonstrate interest and a willingness to try, he go out of his way to make sure you succeed. If you have any interest in the Middle East or history in general, take a class with him.

Aaron is an amazing advisor. He was my Div 3 co-chair, and challenged me to examine my preconceptions and assumptions. He works hard to see both sides of the issues, and is incredibly knowledgeable. Very calm, very smart, very nice.

Comment:

A wonderful professor with an almost absurd passion for his subject, and an absolutely incredible advisor. Aaron has been an immense help to me and is someone I enormously respect. Literally, when I enter his office for a meeting, I'll feel anxious, but when I leave, I feel hopeful and relieved. A brilliant professor and, simply, an awesome guy.

Will Ryan once aptly described Aaron as having a Rolodex in his head. Mention something related to American History, the Holocaust, Jewish studies and he'll talk until someone makes him stop. He is my advisor and cares a lot about my work and well-being. He's a busy guy but always makes time. I like talking to him.

Aaron was a great Div III chair! He suggested good new directions and kept other committee members on the same page. I have also always admired his devotion to the history and aims of the school itself, and his work as dean of faculty. You go, Aaron!
