Dr. Rieck has a passion for teaching that really inspired me to continue with my Music Ed major. You'll like how hands on the class is-- and every time you come into class it's a new experience. He doesn't really lecture, and you get great tools for the future. I would take this class again!

Wow! Dr. Rieck is an amazing Prof. He picks great songs and makes it tons of fun to learn them - he's a great person too. Would definitely recommend his symphonic choir to anyone interested in singing - you'll love it!

Okay, it was Music 100; a pretty easy/boring class to begin with and he really only taught half of it, but the stuff he taught was fun and interesting, surprising me completely. I thought the class would suck, but he made it worth walking across the bridge every MWF. Would recommend, good class as well. Useful.

If I could recommend one prof from all of EC, Rieck is IT! Hysterical and intelligent, his teaching makes Symphonic choir my favorite class to go to. My singing ability has improved 100-fold and I know it is because of his astounding teaching.

You can tell Dr. Rieck has a passion for music, but I kind of felt like he regarded the class as a joke and as though we only took the class because we had to. I took it because it was interesting to me. The tests were pretty challenging. I'd recommend the class though.

Wow, I always had a great singing ability but in highschool i never pursued it. In college i make a switch and sang instead of sport. Not knowing what to expect i ventured into some hard music right off the bat. He made everyone feel welcome, never singled anyone out. And made me a better singer. I can't wait to go to his class each week.

I absolutely adore Dr. Rieck. He's the best professor i've had since being here. I have him for music 100 which is pretty darn easy..and he's the best choir director I could have asked for. I'm considering switching my major to music now because of him. He's very genuine and an all around amazing person.
