Andreas is what you always wanted in a professor. He not only teaches you the material but he how to think and to learn. Whatever grade you end up with you will never regret taking his class. There's no reason to do any of the readings as he goes through everything you need to know in class. Pay attention, take good notes, and follow his advice!

Excellent prof, he cares about the quality of learning not mechanical memorization. Attend the class, see him for clarification, you will do fine. I wasnt initially into neuroscience, but Andreas made it fascinating; marshaling your energy, he puts education in a very different perspective. Strongly recommend

Dr. Andreas is one of the most laid back profs ever! Make sure to go to the class since the subject is very hard to digest on your own. He suggests a textbook that you can only purchase the Ebook which is not very convenient. 3 non-cumulative exams make the entire grade and no other assignments or papers.

Attend the lectures, pay attention, keep notes. Ask questions - explains so well - a 5 yr old would get it. Strongly recommend to take this prof courses - life-lasting powerful knowledge.

Prof. Andreas is truly a brilliant mind. He is by far the best prof. @ Concordia. I highly recommend taking him before you graduate. The knowledge he shares is so important & so inspiring sometimes even shocking which makes his class an unforgetable experience. Take detailed notes. No txtbook. Short papers. Exams: info needed is addressed in class

He is very entertaining and makes the topic very interesting, BUT his tests are vague and he is a hard marker. It's a hit or miss with this one...

Andreas is an amazing professor. He is passionate about the material and easily inspires that interest in students. Do NOT skip class, since there is no textbook and all you need to know he talks about in class. On top of teaching the material, he gives helpful tips and advice on how to study, which truly work. Definitely recommend!

Best professor I have ever had the honor of learning from. Do not miss class, focus in class and you WILL do well. He loves what he teaches and makes the class so interesting. LOVE neurobiology after him. He teaches you the most important things to focus on in disentangling complicated research papers.

Great prof, is pretty funny in lectures. Knows the material really well and makes the complicated stuff seem simpler. Go to class, exam material is exclusively what he says. Read the book just for clarifications

this class is not very easy regardless of who you take it with. You'll either find the content easy or hard. His classes are not mandatory, everything he lectures about and tests on is directly from the book. Average for the class was about a B. I got a B+ by reading the book, I found his lectures didn't help me much. Read the book and study hard.

BEST. TEACHER. EVER. Passionate about his material, funny and accessible. Explains neuroscience to the understanding of a 5 y.o. If you pay attention in class, you can get at least a B+. He even specifies the pages you need to read for the exams. Oh, and he doesn't give a damn about GPA when he picks his graduate students. What a cool guy he is!:)

I learned so much even though I wasn't very interested in the subject of Drugs and addiction. You don't only learn the about addiction, but you also learn how to read scientific paper that are sometimes extremely tedious. One of the best professor I've had in 4 years here in Concordia!

I have an impression that you will find the class either pretty hard or very easy. Somehow in this particular class you either get it or don't, so act accordingly after your first midterm. If you want to learn, IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL LEARN MORE THAT IN ANY OTHER PSYCHOLOGY CLASSES. So stop caring so much about your grades and learn something great.
