He had to come back from retirement this year, so you could imagine his desire to be here... He grades very harshly and will dock every 1/2 point he sees. He extends the lab time by making you do more useless procedures. When you ask him a question, he will go on tangents that are unrelated to the question for about a good 10 minutes for no reason.

Comment:

Dr. Shugarman is a very nice man. However, I would recommend taking another lab instructor since Chem is difficult. Lectures are boring, confusing, and long. Tough and VERY thorough grader. Available for extra help outside the classroom. Still not enough.
