Don't bother trying to learn from this woman. She changes her mind about what she wants from you every week. She forces her personal taste on you and was unclear and unhelpful. If you just care about making pretty paintings take this class. other wise you'll hear "well who would want to hang that on their wall?" I do,that's what should be important

Took Seeing Art In Boston class. Good class! Learned a lot without doing a lot of work, only a 3 hour studio and homework was about 6 paragraphs the entire semester. If you don't care about contemporary art.... stay away... or better yet drop out

I rated this class hard because you are expected to show up and work for the entire time, challenge yourself and allow to be challeged, as well as participate in your fellow artists critiques. For anyone to say this is not how a class should be run should'nt go to art school.

Barbara Grad is an amazing professor as well as an inspiration to women artists. With experience and an ongoing body of work, Grad's critiques were knowledgeable and current. She understood what each student was trying to acheive and catered to their individual needs. Grad pushed me to my fullest potential, and I will forever be indebted to her.
