Comment:

Leier stutters a lot, but is a very funny guy with a lot of knowledge. The textbook is required reading, but the lectures explain the textbook so well that you don't need to read it. The tests are a little strange but the class is very enjoyable, informative, and fair. A+ prof.

I had no interest in Philosophy whatsoever. I just took the class to meet the requirements of my faculty. I took this class as a summer class, and quite enjoyed going. Dr. Leier was a great lecturer and always made Philosophy interesting. He was always willing to answer questions and would volunteer to look over your papers for you!

Comment:

This guy is my hero-as far as philosophy. Once I'd had him as a prof, I became hooked on philosophy, esp. ethics. Totally inspired me, and 3 years later, I think I still have a mini crush on him. Sad but true. Don't pass up the chance to take his class!

Excellent instructor especially finding out this is the first time he taught the course. Always available via email. But for a paper worth 50% I felt he gave little direction and then marked hard and gave little explanation for the grade.

Excellent professor. Knows his stuff and teaches his class enthusiastically. Tends to challenge his students mentally. He's quite hilarious but a bad drawer. And half the time he looks like he's walked out from a night at the bar.

He was an awesome professor in regards to his teaching style. However, he marked papers pretty harshly, and didn't really give much feedback as to why he took off marks. Funny and sarcastic. A pretty fun class.
