Comment:
Professor Fisher is a decent teacher, the class isn't super interesting with long boring lectures. He assigns extremely large amounts of homework for a non major class, especially if you don't like reading. He gets all of his material from the same guy (books, documentaries, etc) so its like fisher isn't even teaching. easy A as long as you do work

The class is better than I expected. The work you need to do for the class is really overwhelming, but he isn't that harsh of a grader. I only wish that he wouldn't give us so much work. long study guides and a really short and hard final.

I don't like history but I really enjoyed this class since it is an interesting approach by looking at the history of food. My favorite class this semester. Dr. Fisher wants you to succeed but there is a lot of homework.

Both the class and the professor were fine. Not too hard, but also not too interesting although I felt there was potential never tapped into with that. The assigned homework was never checked or graded, so you didn't have to do it but if you did you would be very well prepared for the tests.

Professor Fisher was a great professor and was super fun to have in class. He assigns a lot of reading and videos to watch, but they were all extremely relevant and interesting. Tests are fairly easy if you do the reading, and he doesn't assign very many papers. Great professor and super fun class!

My favorite class this semester. Fisher assigned a lot of reading and documentaries to look at for class but they are interesting so it is not painful. Interesting lectures and discussions.

The thesis class is revise and resubmit system until you get an A, but it took me 6 revisions. I have never had a professor go over drafts like this with a microscope. The lit review drove me crazy, but it forced me to know the other books on my project. I am excited to start my project.

It's a new class, and it has growing pains involved, but Fisher is willing to read as many drafts of your proposal as you write. It's mandatory for majors, but it's easy to get an A if you dedicate the time.

Very clear about what he wants, and very accessible in office hours. Fisher is worth getting to know, since he will help immensely during office hours. He's also very interesting in lectures.

Not a really tough grader, but it's hard to get an A on your essays. Though that's difficult, it's not hard to do well in the class. Really interested in the class and really knows what he's talking about. The class itself was really interesting, I recommend taking it!

Fisher is hilarious and he really knows American history. The class is a lot of work and you write way too much for a lower division, but I really enjoyed the class.

Seems like a really nice guy, brought his adorable dog to class one day. Tests are VERY HARD and lectures can be pretty boring. But he does his best to make it interesting and I swear he is Luke Wilson's long lost twin.

This class is pretty boring. All he does is lecture the whole 80 minutes. He does have some discussions but not many. Attendance is mandatory and he will mark off for not attending. There is a pretty good amount of reading, and he grades pretty hard. You don't have to take notes. Just look up the terms for the tests online.

He takes FOREVER to give back papers and tests, and he grades them pretty harshly. Attendance is mandatory, but it's not important to pay attention to everything he says, because you can study for the tests by looking up the material yourself. Class is usually pretty boring, because he lectures for the entire time. He's a nice guy though.

Very funny, interesting professor. His lectures are fantastic and keep you really engaged through the 80 minutes. Tough grader because he expects a lot, but if you put in the effort you will do fine. Does ask for some reading, but its not an impossible amount. Overall a pretty good class!

Prof Fisher is hilarious. History can be a pretty dry topic but he makes it fun to listen to lectures. Tests are hard only because they're very objective and there are no black and white right answers (essay format). You just have to make a really good case for what you believe. You read A LOT in this class, keep up w/ readings and you'll do fine.
