Really bad professor. Famous for insulting students who ask questions, picking favorites and least favorites, being inconsistent with what he teaches and says, being immature and racist towards students, bragging, grading unfairly, giving wacky pop quizzes designed more to troll you than actually teach you, the list goes on...

Very knowledgeable guy but also unapproachable and will berate you for asking questions. Tests/quizzes tend to cover obscure and unexpected topics.

His lectures are always very interesting and teaches concepts in great detail which... unfortunately also expected to be conveyed during examinations. His courses involve critical thinking and attempting to at asking questions will make you feel horrendously demoralize, but look past that and you will find that this experience is very valuable.-cry

Horrible teacher with zero respect for students. A student had some positive and reasonable feedback on a question that he didn't think was fair on the midterm. Bray took it as an act of disrespect to his authority and even threatened to take 20% off his midterm (which was the curved amount). He also calls out and puts down the course retakers.

David Bray is among, if not the best of the instructors in the BIT-NET program. He's extremely knowledgeable, and very flexible in his office hours. He is exceptionally clear in his instruction, and is not above correcting himself if he or a student points out a mistake. Do not believe a word of the malcontents on this site. Prepares you for life.

Comment:

One of the only profs that truly cares about his courses. He's strict but will make sure you know the material by the end of the course. He can be a little hard to deal with (makes a huge fuss over little things like stapling) but for any student that cannot keep up with his material, you may not be ready for the real world.
