Comment:

Professor Busman makes going to a 6-9 much more enjoyable. He is clearly very knowledgeable about education and wants everyone in his class to understand. He gives many opportunities for extra credit. Also, he will review your big assignments before you turn them in with thorough feedback. 10/10 would recommend.

I had EDI 337 as a hybrid class. I wish I would have had class every week with him because he was such a good professor and I was very interested in what he had to teach us. As a hybrid class I would recommend too, though. He plans things well enough that the 3 classes that you meet for are critical to pass.

Best Professor i ever had. Very little lecture, uses a lot of hands on activity that engages students in the class. He provides us activities that will make you learn the stuff in the book by doing rather than learning it my reading or through lecture. Very Helpful

Fantastic teacher! He is by far the most knowledgeable, caring, and personable professor I have had in my 3 years at GV. He is invested in his student's learning and has such a high level of respect for them as well. Make sure you buy the book for the class and keep up on your assessment projects and you will do great.

By far my favorite professor I've had a Grand Valley. Would LOVE to take him again. So caring, nice, compassionate about teaching. Treated us like we were teachers. Pretty easy grader. Very clear with expectations and an all around great attitude. Definitely take him!

FANTASTIC professor! Talked to us like we were already teachers, which felt great :) He treats his students with respect as well as thoughtfulness. Couldn't recommend him anymore if I could...will take him again if I can!

WOW! Prof Busman was one of the best profs I have ever had! This class was a lot of work but it was good work, not busy work. I will definitely be using my assessments later in my teaching career! I highly recommend this prof to ED majors when he is available! I learned SO much and all our tests were open book! Awesome prof!

Comment:

Busman is a great professor! I have learned a lot in his class. He is extremely helpful, laid back and an easy going guy. The quizzes are very easy because he lets us use our books and any notes : ) He wants everyone to do well in his class and he also has a passion for teaching it. which makes going to class so worth it.

Comment:

We did a lot of in class work in groups. While this helped I felt that some of the class time was used this way unnecessarily. Content quizzes are easily as long as you do your readings. Assessment projects are what take up most of the time. Do not fear asking for help. He is always there if needed.

Professor Busman is fantastic. There's 3 assessment projects, 4 discussion board postings, and 2 presentations. Sounds like a lot but they're all very easy and he's a really easy grader. I don't think I really learned that much in this class except for current events in the education field but I would definitely take him again.

I have enormous respect for this man. Kind, caring, believes in his students, and has a massive background in education. His wealth of knowledge shows through clearly. Had some hitches with quizzes, but the massive projects at the end evened out the grade. Knows everyone's name and great teaching style. Would jump at the chance to take him again.

What's great about Dr. Busman is that there is NO BUSY WORK. Thank god for him during my student assisting semester. Simply lead a 5-10 minute group discussion in front of the class, write a 20 page classroom management plan, make a poster, show up every week, and you get an A. That simple. Not all that interesting, but little busy work.

Finally, an ed prof who knows what he's teaching us! I have had some great prof's at GV, but he ranks high up there as one of the best. He really does care about the students and seeing them succeed. He's very willing to help when needed... he gets an A+!
