I had the pleasure of taking Professor Threet my first semester in college and though I was scared not because it was a college class but because I really don't like public I don't know it just the anxiety of standing in front of a large crowd but if you do your best on the work you are more likely to get an A . You earn the grade you get.

He is such an easy teacher, if you fail his class that is such a disappointment. Easy person to talk to. Writing assignment is a lot, but you could b.s it and get an A or B on the writing. He doesnt give anything lower than a B-. The professor cares about the entire class and wants everyone to have at least a B or higher in the class. Very friendl

A tough grader. He does not care about the stressful condition, just millions of homework, video presentation,.... This instructor thinks that students only have one class that is COMS 20. Gives tons of written assignments for what was supposed to be a public speaking class, not an English composition class.

Gives too many written assignments for what was supposed to be a public speaking class, not an English composition class. Also tough grader, very few got As despite their best efforts. Avoid at all costs!

Prof. Douglass is an amazing professor. He actually cares about the students and tries to help as best as he can. I'm taking him for Spring Intersession, all his work is manageable and easy but he is a tough grader.

Prof Threet is a very knowledgeable person. The class was alright, learned some cool things. I took this class as a hybrid and met 4 times a semester. Although he teaches how to communicate, he will answer your emails once in a blue moon. He is very hard to get ahold of outside of class. Wouldnt take it again because of this.

You hear about teachers that go beyond their required effort to try to help and understand their students, Prof Threet is one of those. He really tries to understand each student personally and goes out of his way to ensure that every single one of his students work towards a grade that they are happy with. If my major was in comms, I'd take him.

I loved having him as a professor! I did take his class over intersession so it was a fair amount of work, it was definitely doable. Expect to spend around 1 hour per hw assignment but his class was always fun to go to when we gave speeches. Would take again!

Comment:

One of the best, if not the best professor at EVC. A caring, positive professor. I took his class during the morning and there was never a dull moment. Always gave positive feedback on how to improve presentations. Not only is he incredibly positive, but he motivates each and every student to do their best work. Take his class you wont regret it.

Professor Threet is a very positive person. He leads his class in an encouraging and caring way since many people are anxious about COMS classes. Took his class over intersession so it was A LOT of work daily, but still doable. He made me feel more confident and comfortable presenting. He gives good feedbacks on your writing and presentations!

Okay, I'd like to start off by saying that you should NOT trust feedbacks on Profs. on rate my professor. This is probably one class I regret turning to rate my professor for. This professor lacks clarity and ALL of his assignments are unclear. He tells us that he cares for our grade but he doesn't. Graded work does NOT have feedback on how to imp.

Douglas is an easy-grader. Usually gives A/B if you put in work and effort. His quiz is easy, and he will tell you what you need to know before every quiz (also open-noted!) You will have to do debate/presentation, but it is fun. I am a shy person type, but I am really enjoy doing presentations in his class.

Prof. Threet is srsly one of the best professors at EVC. There is quite a bit of work to do but he's fair on grading and his assignments really do help you understand grp communication better. If you fear public speaking def. take this class. The class vibe is so chill and comfortable you won't even get nervous speaking. Would take again forshore.

One of the best professors I have ever taken. The assignments are top notch and will use and refer to them both professionally and personally. Threet is a terrific instructor and really has a contagious and refreshing great attitude about teaching and life in general. His lectures are wonderful. I would love to take him for other classes!!

Great class! Grades papers a little hard but if you just do them you'll pass. Quizzes are from textbook and there are 3 presentations. One of the better professors at EVC. If you actually wanna learn abt communications, take his class! You'll learn a lot.

Wonderful positive teacher that was very understanding. You have to write a lot, but overall he's a pretty easy teacher. I would recommend you take him for coms 10 if you don't like speaking infront of others a lot. He's super nice and fair.
