This is for the bio lab portion- thankfully labs are more handson, but I really wish his lectures (without the labs) had more handson and outside assignments. I get high Ds, if I'm lucky low Cs in his lectures. Got a B in his lab- I feel like this could speak for itself. Take advantage of the CLC if you need help with studying and or taking tests.

After you get used to the way he teaches and understand that he is hard on the outside but actually cares about his students then you will do great in his class. he is tough but really makes you learn the material! dont get intimidated at first, if you study and attend Class you will do fine

Professor Howard is a low key hard ass. He is a strict grader and is not an understanding person. He's the type of prof that wouldn't give you an A- if you got 89.9%. But he is a good prof mostly. I didn't like him, but I did learn. He posts notes online. If you don't study for quizzes and exams, you won't pass/you will do poorly. No extra credit.

I took a Biology class with him as the instructor. He lectures the whole class, no class work and no homework. He gives tests and that pretty much sums up what his classes are about. If you are not a great test taker, i highly recommend searching for another instructor.

Great teacher, textbook is not needed as his lectures are extremely through and he posts the notes online after he completes each lecture. If you go to all your classes you will pass with an A, tests/quizzes are easy and he drops the lowest test and quiz. Will be taking his courses again! Never assigns homework. You can pick your ?s on tests

Quizzes are absolutely BRUTAL. tests are easy. NEED to study in order to pass anything. able to drop lowest quiz AND test grade. pretty fair. MUST know definitions- he is very specific. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK- never used- all notes (verbatim from class) are online.

I love this man. Very caring and wants his students to succeed! I've had him for many classes and felt that every class was well worth my time. Even though I personally didn't get the best grades in his classes, I know that everyone in his classroom earns the grade they receive and I learn the most from his lectures.

There are a lot of notes in this class, but if you are there because you want to learn the course material that should be presented it is a pleasure to be there. He is very clear if you, and now pay attention to this, listen in class. I know, it is a lot to ask especially from a college level class, but he is very clear a wonderful professor.

I have Prof Howard for Intro to Animal Science, Bio, Animal Behavior, and as an advisor. There are a LOT of notes to take and he uses every minute of class, but he is very nice and clear and very willing to help. He is very understanding and fair. Overall, he is a very good prof if you are willing to put in the effort.

I took Animal Care & Management, Intro to Animal Science, and Bio 1 & Bio 2 with labs. He lectures a lot and you have to take a lot of notes but he's organized and puts everything on blackboard. Animal Care and Mgt was easy, Intro to Animal Science was a LOT to remember and hard, but he was the best Bio prof ever and if you're confused, tell him!

professor howard is very nice. I have had him for 2 1/2 years now and I dont have anything bad to say about him. He is very understanding with personal reasons and also gives alot of extra help for class if someone needs it. He doesnt really like people asking questions because it leaves the class behind in lecture but in order for us to understand we have to ask questions to understand the material and he does answer clearly. Hes a cool professor and this is my last year at becker so its kinda sad .....
