He is my favorite professor I've ever had. He is extremely personable and will work one on me with you to ensure you pass. He creates an amazing environment. You must do in class partner work for credit. His assignments are easy. Most of the time you participate in a two person scene. This class requires effort, but it will be a fun experience,

Comment:

I originally enjoyed Eric until he directed me in a play. It's obvious that he's passionate about theatre but with him there's no room for creativity. As a teacher he is awesome; but as a director I always felt so limited and as if I was failing him. I lost passion in acting and lost confidence in myself that has taken years to regain. Stay away.

Eric Bishop is a great Professor! He really cares and wants the best for each of his students! He will help you with your art of acting and take you to the next level. You will have to see two plays in the semester and write a critique, if you do not write these, don't expect to pass the class. I am defiantly taking him again for Acting 2!!

Prof. Bishop is fantastic. One of my favorite I've had at MiraCosta. He's very clear and fun in his lectures, and incredibly helpful if you're stuck on a segment of the lesson. My only qualm is that he doesn't teach all of the theater classes at MiraCosta. What a jerk, am I right?

Eric's classes are never boring. He likes to start off class with a physical warmup or game to get everyone on their feet, and I appreciate that. His lectures are very engaging, and he allows for discussion. If you do not put in the outside scene rehearsal time, do not expect to pass. You need to want the good grade.

Prof. Bishop has a genuine passion for acting, and he wants his students to succeed! He offers constructive criticism and is willing to help one understand the principles of acting. He appreciates those who are hard workers and want to LEARN. He's a great teacher and encourager. Do your best, and most assuredly, it will not go unnoticed.

He is very nice. Sometimes can be a little rude. Hates talkers. Always wants his attention. Lots of fun things to do in class. Always was fun to go to. Allows you to make good friends in the class to. DONT MISS THE PLAYS.

Ever since eric won that award he thinks he's better than everybody. He already had an ego problem but it multiplied tenfold. He only likes the students he thinks are going to be famous in hopes that he'll get some credit. Nobody takes him seriously or respects him. He's never available. When he directs he shows you how to do it HIS way.

Eric, Eric, Eric. I don't know what happened to this man. He used to be relaxed, and a positive teacher, and now he seems to be paranoid, and power hungry. He plays favorites while casting shows, and in acting classes. He's a contradiction to the departments desire for "ensemble building".

Eric Bishop is doing great things with the theatre. His classes are straightforward, and interesting. The theatre department has many things going on, due in large part to Mr. Bishop. I would not be where I am today if it weren't for his help and a leg up. Keep an open mind, and you will gain valuable information and experience.

Artistically stiffling and extremely unclear. Very ego driven. His classes are generally easy A's; if you're into that sort of thing. Try to avoid him but if you don't, take anything he says with a grain of salt.
