Great professor with a lot of knowledge and understanding behind the subject. He cares very deeply about making that one-on-one connection (if you want it) and wanting the best for each of his students. McCann always has a smile on his face and appears delighted to teach every day; attendance nonmandatory, but participation is, so miss class wisely

Sometimes takes attendance for lectures so it helps to go as it is 15% of your grade. Very willing to work with you one on one to understand material. Learns everyones name in the class so it is more personable. Textbook isn't required to do well because he covers topics well in lectures. Only 4 homeworks the entire semester.

made 730s fun. would come in a bit early and converse with the students that were there and awake. apparently not a fan of football with the 730am exam the day after the bears/colts superbowl. if you don't go to lecture you will be screwed on the exam

Had trouble following him with my vauge pol sci knowledge. He is obsessed with James Madison to the point it is sicking. His tests are very hard and the paper requirment is difficult. He is a great guy though.
