Comment:

Jan is great as a teacher. She buffers grades with homework, journals, and in-class worksheets. She offers test/quiz/journal corrections for everything except the final. She prepreps you for literally every question that might be on tests/quizzes, so you never have to worry about not studying something you need to. SI is a huge lifesaver, too.

Comment:

Make sure to go to class participation matters and you will not understand anything if your not there. A lot of group activities and worksheets in class. Let's you do test corrections! Sometimes she is stern but if you do your work & participate it's easy. She will always help you if you don't get something. Do all assignments or you wont pass.

Homework is the hardest part of this class. SI study sessions have the same version of her test, but different numbers, so if you go to those, or see the practice test you'll pass. She does group tests, take home tests, and individual tests, and individual tests you are able to do test corrections.

Jan is a fantastic instructor. She always takes the time to explain the difficult concepts and is very fair when grading tests. Corrections are offered and if you don't get an A in her classes, you put in 0 effort. Even though the material is hard, shes an absolute pro.

Comment:

Great teacher overall! She allows for test corrections and gives you up until the test day to turn in hw for full credit. Sweet and very helpful, but you have to ask on the hw ?s. For 121 it was the only class that required use of a graphing calc, but well worth it. Mostly all probs we learned how to do by hand, THEN by calc. i liked that.

Jan is great. She can be unclear but if you ask her for help she'll help you and if you ask question during classes she is more than willing to answer them. Just understand she puts getting help from her on you.
