I adore Professor Vaglia. I've taken two courses with her and they have been some of the best I've taken in my major. Yes, she expects a lot, but it's never anything unreasonable. As long as you listen to her and show interest, you'll be fine. She's my advisor and has always been there to help and answer questions. Great Professor!

Super nice woman...BUT: VERY unclear about what material you actually have to know. Don't trust her study guides--she leaves off a lot of material that you will see on the test. Lectures are ppts with pictures and very little writing, and she goes through quickly, so it's hard to take notes. Doesn't like to give review sessions.

She was a great professor, whose interactions in and out of the class were top rate, clear, and just generally beneficial. I liked her as a professor, and would strongly recommend her to non-bio students as a teacher to bring you into the subject without assuming tons of background in science.

Professor Vaglia is one of the most well loved teachers at DePauw. She is clear and keeps students engaged with her enthusiasm, she has lots!! I highly recommend her great non-majors course Bio 104.
