I am not a big fan of Jasmine as a professor. She is an extremely intelligent and kind woman, but I don't find that she has great teaching skills. Grade is based only on midterm, final, participation, and maybe a paper. She's opinionated when it comes to literature, and not willing to accept others' interpretations. Tough criteria grader on papers.

I really enjoy Prof. Hall's classes. They are well organized and expectations are straightforward. Unlike many teachers, her lectures add a lot of interest and dimension to the reading, like historical context. She does expect you to participate at least a little because she not pleased if it is apparent that no one did the reading.

Jasmine Hall is a talented and inspiring instructor. Her literary knowledge runs deep, which some students might misinterpret as being a bad thing. Everyone, regardless of major, should experience a class with Dr. Hall
