Can hardly hear him speaking, tests are ridiculously difficult for a 200 level class, plays hour long videos almost every class, extremely hard grader.

He's the toughest grader I've ever had. He cares more about something being done as perfectly as possible rather than if you know the content. He's super quiet so please sit as close to the front as possible.

BEST professor ever; lectures are engaging, thought-provoking, and extremely informational. He nail down concepts in bit-sized lessons you'll use the rest of your life. Non psych majors/taking as a core only, won't appreciate having to think and be graded for their OWN ideas. He teaches you to learn, not memorize, which is the most valuable lesson.

Bizarre guy, really. I learned a ton from his class but mustered up a C because the dude is insane when it comes to grades. Grades were unavailable until they were posted at semester's end. Take Human Development with somebody else. He's a very good educator, but he's an incredibly tough grader.

Professor Hanson is highly relatable and very nice. He is always providing examples from his own experiences to the class. He is very humorous. It's great to have a professor who understands the real world, and he certainly has a grasp on the struggles. Great professor for sociology classes.

Old fashion way of teaching. Not very clear and not great feedback on papers. It can be an easy A, if you struggle or need help though, good luck.

Dr. Hanson is a lot of fun. He tells stories about his experience in the field as well as little funny stories about his family. He uses powerpoints & media a lot so attendance is a great key to success. He is understand when things pop up. His tests have terms that need to be defined and the rest are essay questions. He makes classes interesting.

Mellow guy, talks really quietly 85% of the time. Gives really good examples. He knows what he is talking about. He thinks he is pretty funny, I didn't think so, but you might! Overall, good professor.

As far as psych professors go, this one has a healthy and refreshing dose of reality. He designs his courses to teach you think critically, not just make you rote-memorize useless info you'll forget in two days anyway.

I have mixed emotions about him. The class requires minimal work outside of class. It was hard to stay awake durring the movies we watch every time. He was good when he lectured, but relied too heavily on movies.
