Excellent professor. Very clear and well organized. Willing to help when asked, and very accessible. 3 required papers and 1 exam. Good amount of reading, some of it dense. Impossible to pass course without doing the reading.

Jocelyn is a great professor. She presents the material clearly and vibrantly. She finds ways to make even the driest philosophers engaging. She's fair in her grading and willing to help you work out your own interpretations, even if they conflict with hers. Very approachable during office hours or by email.

Jocelyn is one of my favorite professors in the department because of the ease with which she integrates feminist thought into philosophy. She is able to present dense material clearly, and I always found her helpful and approachable. Fabulous.

Very, very arrogant. If she doesn't agree with your feminist viewpoints you can just about forget getting anything above a B-. Also had her for 19th C. Philosophy and found her to be unapproachable and pretentious. Smart woman, but should have been a researcher instead of a professor.

Fascinating material. Theme for class changes annually, always focused on women's issues. Our theme was women's bodies. Readings ranged from engaging to impossible. She was pretty good at explaining , if she could get to your question in time, but everyone had things to bring up in discussions.

Jocelyn is awesome! I took her intro class and it made me a philosophy major, and 19th centruy phil is the best class I have taken here. Lectures are organize, texts are well selected and she is obviously very passionate about the subject. Briliant.
