Easy class. Has a quiz once a week over what you just went over and the quizzes make up the tests. There's no final. His lab is redicuously easy, he wants to leave as much as you do! If you need to take a chem he's a breeze!

Comment:

A decent teacher but not recommended if you really want to learn about chem. Show up and do a little studying and you should get a decent grade. Overall a pretty easy, if boring, class. No homework and quizzes every Thursday.

CHEM100 with Azer is an easy A! U'll learn the basics of chemistry since it's 100 (unlike CHEM152, etc) but even so, with Azer, u really learn bare minimum. He's slow with returning ur work back. He's a cool guy, but maybe a little too laid back. If u need to gain a strong foundation (for future classes), better to take another professor.

he is easy in lab, he talks fast assuming you know the subject, anyways, if you take him in lab just for easy A, i recommend him, but if you want to learn so much from it then, he is not for you.

the person that said Joe azer is a bad prof. is crazy. He was one of the best teacher i ever had. He explains explains explains, if you don't understand he will explain again. Highly recommended his class.

Comment:

Professor Azer is a decent guy. It is hard to learn from him because he rushes through explanations and just assumes people know exactly what he means. However, he does grade the labs easy if you just complete them. Didn't have him for lecture but heard from others that it was very bad. Take Mr. Jones for lecture and Azer for lab. You wont regret.

Prof. Azer cares alot about his students. i was afraid to take a chemistry class, but he was great at relating to students and helping us learn. i would definitely take a class with prof. azer again. chemistry isn't so scary after all.

I was really worried about this class since Bio/Chem have never been my thing. But with enough studying and effort put in, I was able to get an A. He usually runs late and is pretty slow when it comes to returning quizzes/tests, but overall he's a good professor and he wants his students to do well. Grades on a curve! Study hard & u should get an A

I passed his Chem100 class w/an A. He is fast, and isn't very attentive to his class, however, if you put in your own time, find a tutor, or even study group, joe gives the easiest Quizes &exams. They are straight out of the book. I recommend him if you are able to put in a lot of ur own time into studying. I plan to take organic chem with azer!

I had a great deal of anxiety going into this class (I'm Chemistry Phobic) but was very happy with this class. Joe teaches you how to do things the very long way - and then teaches you the neat tricks that save a ton of time. Disorganized - yeah, a little. But I'll trade an highly organized prof for one who cares!

To get an A, you must not miss class. Take lab with him also it will be much easier. He tells you exactly what will be on test. Must study. Re-work hw problems as he suggests. Talks a little fast so you have to keep up. Held study groups. Good teacher, but must put in time to get a good grade.

I took his chem 100 class last semester and got an A by showing up, studing outside of class and asking questions when i needed help. Hes a great teacher, tells you exactly what you need to know for test. No trick questions, very helpful and straight forward.

Talks too fast, Says he wants people to ask questions, but then when you do he treats you like an idiot and dosn't answer your question. Did not show up for 3 classes. Made the class fall behind. Made it very difficult to do well in lab class with other teacher because we hadn't even coverd it yet in lecture and were expected to do the work in lab.

Easy if you rework problems from lecture, as he suggests. No suprises on tests if you keep up with the assigned work. Don't miss class, can't catch up with book. He is straight forward about what you need to know. His goal is to make sure you learn some basic chemistry, no tricks.

first of all, the only thing i like about him is that he's an easy grader. second, o chem, if you study is not a hard class. Some time azer maybe unclear when it comes to lecturing so be prepare to spend some book time. Another good thing is that he will give you exactly what he wants on tests. overall, i recommend him, but not the best prof

all I can say that O chem is not an easy class. but azer is a easy grader. His study guides are helpful.
