Professor Joe is the best!!! He has a true passion for what he does and really knows his stuff! He assigns weekly readings, three small papers that are spaced out fairly and one final paper that is culmination of all the papers you've done. He makes class interesting with class discussions and group activities. I wish I had him for another class!!

Is straight forward you enter class and are asked to discuss questions he puts on the board based, based on assigned reading with group members. Your group members grade you from 1-3 ( 1 being horrible 3 exceeding expectations). you are assigned three papers that are easy you are given examples No exams no mandatory attendance no textbook.

Joe is by far the best professor I have ever encountered. TAKE HIS CLASS YOU WONT REGRET IT! No textbook, no test, just learning-That is what Joe's most concerned about. He truly wants each student to really learn something about philosophy and take it with them beyond the classroom. Its not about memorizing and tests, but rather comprehension.

He is a great teacher and gets you to think about stuff when you leave class. He makes you do papers trough the semester but if you fallow them you should be able to ace them. No due dates so keep up with your work.. If you don't do well on a paper you can redo it as many times as you want until you get the grade you are satisfied with. I had a 100

Joe is a radical educator who will help to expose you to a different perspective of education that you are not used to seeing. This is a good thing, so you must listen to him and listen to his criticisms of the school system and you will learn a lot about the problems. Easy "A", if you hand in everything. His grading is Pass/Fail.

Joe is very passionate about education, and his radical personality will really make you think about society and the education system. If you follow the outlines he provides for all the mini-papers and final paper you have to do, piece of cake. Tip: don't just do "outlines". If you write good papers off the bat, then the final paper will be easy!

I enjoyed Prof. Oyler's class. A lot of it was based on discussion regarding different philosophers views on education. The assignments were not difficult as long as you DO THE READING! He was very approachable and was like one of us. Not to mention handsome.
