Dr. Strier is an extremely intelligent woman, as becomes evident within the first minute of meeting her. She knows what she is talking about and facilitates amazing conversations in her classes. If you didn't care for primates before her class, you most certainly will after. Be concise with her and know your question before asking it.

Prof Strier is AMAZING. She is crazy passionate about her work in research as well as teaching. She is one of the few professors that I've encountered that actually want to make sure you learn and have a good time doing it. She's super quirky but makes lectures SO interesting and the reading is well spaced and easy to get through. TAKE HER CLASSES.

Dr. Strier is easily my favorite professor on this campus and I am lucky enough to be helping her with her research. She is more than willing to help you understand the material presented in class. She is also one of the nicest people you will meet on this campus. I recommend taking any of her classes!

She was so nice and really into biological anthro! She genuinely cares about her students and wants you to succeed. I would take her class :) The exam for anthro 100 was pretty hard, but I should have studied more. KNOW THE LECTURE NOTES.

Karen is passionate about what she does - she will draw you right into her primate world! Also, in one of her lectures she uses the genetics of skin color to disprove racial classifications.

She's a great lecturer, but you HAVE to read the book to get a good grade. Heck, she wrote it. Only 3 exams, some multiple choice, essay, and diagram drawing. Semi-tough. Just make sure you go to every lecture. She likes to show movies of monkeys, which is always a treat!

Strier is kind of a kooky lady, but that means lectures are usually interesting and sometimes even fun to listen to. She's really enthusiastic about the topic. Her exam was really easy as well. Definitely the best section in anthro 100.

Dr. Strier isn't a friendly woman, but she is extremely intelligent (she has a 25 page CV for a reason) and knows what she's talking about. Her tests are very fair and if you go to lecture and supplement with textbook, you'll be in good shape. She's a fun lecturer and easy to follow. Very good class!

She is crazy and entertaining, but in a good way. She just loves anthropology. And I didn't even know we had to do book readings and still got a 92 on the exam.

She's kind of crazy, but she is awesome and she really knows her stuff about primates. This class was great because it didnt require a lot of work, just some reading outside of class, but forming study groups that get together right before exams helped (I didnt even have to read). (she wrote the book, so lecture correlates directly with book mater.
