I really liked this course and the professor. I learned so much about movies & professor D'Alessandro is very knowledgeable and helpful about movies. To pass i recommend reading the chapters she tells u and paying attention 2 the movies she presents. They are all really good, so u won't be bored. Google them b4 quizzes 2 refresh your memory.

She is so nice and funny but you have to be there to know what is going on. Her tests are SO HARD though omg the book didn't even help and i went every class and took loads of notes and paid attention but her tests are incomprehensible

Great professor. If you don't show any interest, leave early, don't even bother studying, don't expect a miracle. Watch the movies in class (don't sleep), refresh your memory next week by reading online and study her handouts for test. Simple.

Dev Film 2-All the positive comments are correct-very interesting, but not an easy A. Content quizzes are hard if you don't study and do readings (although most questions on quizzes come from class discussion and notes). 5-7 pg. paper due at end of term and approx. 6 pg. final take home essay paper. May be difficult if you are not a film major.

I you are taking this class as a requirement just drop it. Her test are kind of hard, you have to do a paper and the final test is also hard 2 questions 50pts each if you fail one, you pretty fail the final. She is nice, not going to lie but for a requirement is not worth, its NOT going to help your GPA. GOOD LUCK

Come to class, she leactures for an hr then you watch a 2 hr movie.. Sometimes boring, sometimes not. Tests are hard if your not a film major. Must know names and dates, if you can't memorize.. good luck... She's a great teacher, knows alot and a great all a round person but fact is... class is a lil tough, but worth it. Don't Buy book!

AWSOME!!!!!!!!! She's great. She's so lively and just fun. She shows differet film; some boring and some that are pretty funny and interesting. Take her; she's a really, really good professor. Very socialable.
