Comment:

I like Professor G as a math teacher, I just wish he wasn't so fast paced. He explains everything clearly but his notes are all over the place and does not give you the time to finish your notes before he's on to the next problem. Lectures are about 20-25 minutes and then you can stay on work on your homework, by yourself or with others.

Comment:

I thought he was going to be the best professor for Algebra after reading these reviews, I was wrong. He knows what he's talking about but he's not helpful. He starts a new problem on the curriculum each day and ends class early, he then expects you to know how do it on the test. The test can be tough, takes off 10+ points if you forget one thing.

He was great! Lectures only last for about 45min out of the 75 and let you leave after or stay to finish your homework (that he doesn't check). He encourages you to get help from other students but will help if needed. Four tests, one final project, and an optional final. We got to use a formula sheet on tests and he didn't require a textbook.

You don't have to do the homework for this class since it it not graded. Your grade is based on a couple tests and a project that counts as a final. You don't have to take the final in his class. You are given a cheat sheet that you can use on tests. This class is very easy and you have to attend class in order to do good on exams. no book needed.

Professor Groeneveld is probably the best math professor I've ever come across. I also took ALG 2 with him. No textbook required. His lectures are only about 20 mins long and then he gives the remaining 20-30 mins as homework time. Tests have identical problems (w/ different numbers) to his pretests that he hands out a week before WITH THE ANSWERS.

University-level Statistics at a Community college price. The man is a stats machine and is the most professional professors in the STCC system. His method is very acute and moves very quickly but clearly. There is no textbook, two photocopied pages. You will learn every inch of those two pages and fill the margins with notes.

Prof G is an amazing professor.You have to be in class or you will be lost.He gives great explinations and is very entertaining.If he can teach me statistics this man is a miracle worker.I wish I could take him for every math class that I needed!!! Best professor ever!!!

I've ALWAYS struggled with math my entire life, never got higher than a B-..until I took his class! It was challenging, but he explained everything in such a straight forward way. It made me ENJOY math! He tells you the best way to do it. Class was done in ~20 mins; you can stay to do your homework so you don't have to later & you can get help. (:

If you have to take Statistics Prfsr Groeneveld will allow you to master this difficult class with ease and high grades. He is the best teacher I have ever had and I am a teacher myself so I feel able to rate good/bad teaching. He makes your statistics experience a breeze with homeworks, pre-tests, and overall teaching that thoroughly prepares you!

I have taken 2 courses with professor G and he is by far the best math teacher at STCC. He knows what he's teaching and will stop and help you if you ask him. There's no textbook; he does assign hw and practice exams but he doesn't collect them; but I recommend doing them because some of the questions on the exam are taken from the hw
