Linda really knows her stuff, and is willing to work with you if you ask for help. However, her abrasiveness can make her difficult to approach. This course carries a heavy workload, as most class activities are unable to be completely finished during class time and become an addition to regular nightly homework.

Linda is a great professor. She truly cares about every student of hers and she wants everybody to succeed, unless you skip her class. She knows if you just skip her class, and she won't help you. You are on your own if you skip. Overall, if you put in the effort, you will receive a good grade. If you need help, make a meeting with her!!

Although I didn't pass her class the first time around, I'll be taking her class again because she was a great teacher who is dedicated to giving students anything they need to succeed. that being said; just go to class. if i hadn't missed 9 classes i wouldn't have failed the class at all; regardless of my grades. online hw is essential too.

I had Professor Cavanaugh for Online Math 107. If you do all your homework on time and study hard before tests, you will pass. Even with math being my strong point in the past, this class was a lot of work for me. Even then, I would still recommend her online math classes.

Just to be clear, Linda can be a very intimidating, Rough around the edges Hardcore Professor; but she knows her stuff well and is willing to share all in exchange for respect and dignity. Pay attention, do the work, keep quiet (respectfully) and learn some Math! She has a lot to give, but it's your choice of what you get, golden eggs, or dookie!

This was my second semester with linda. I had her for 106 and 107. Some people avoid her but that is because she can be a lil' agressive and students mistake helpful intent for belittling behavior. I now have great respect and a huge appreciation for her! L. Cavanaugh IS the school of hard knocks! Treat her with respect and you will surely succeed!

I had both ups and downs with Linda Cavanaugh. She can have a very intimidating demeanor but treat her with respect, respect the classroom and other students, DO YOUR WORK and she will melt into an extremely friendly, helpful, caring, and loving maternal figure. She has bad days like everyone else, nobody's perfect! I love Linda now! You can too!:)

Very rough. The semester I had her, she chose a few students to treat like crap, for unknown reasons, and was very unhelpful toward them. However, she knew her subject matter and the class was helpful for nursing, of which I am now a graduate from.

She assumes you are downright stupid and explains things as such. It takes her 3 weeks to explain what a normal college lever math professor would explain in a class period. she goes way in depth which tends to confuse the student. Also, you can't reason with her or get a word in if you disagree with her over something.
